Creole food, a boat ride, and more, is what El Ranchón La Redonda has for you if you decide to visit. Where is it located? To the north of Morón, Cuba, as if you were going to the keys, but submerged among the mangroves and at the edge of the lagoon that bears its name.
Comida criolla, un paseo en lancha y más, es lo que tiene para ti El Ranchón La Redonda si decides visitarlo. ¿Dónde se encuentra? Al norte de Morón, Cuba, como si fueras para los cayos, pero sumergido entre los mangles y al borde de la laguna que lleva su mismo nombre.
It's my first time coming, despite being so close. And you know what? I fell in love with the place, I think it's ideal if your plan is to have a good time as a couple or with the family. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the food delicious, and we had live music that made me up to dance.
Es la primera vez que vengo, a pesar de estar tan cerca. ¿Y sabes qué? Me enamoré del lugar, creo que es ideal si tu plan va de pasar un buen rato en pareja o con la familia. El ambiente es muy acogedor, la comida deliciosa, y tuvimos música en vivo con la que no demoré en pararme a bailar.
Roast pork, congri, stuffed tostones, and salad, were recommended by the house, and what we also ordered, accompanied by a couple of beers. The service was of excellent quality, everyone very friendly, the taste of the food was spectacular as well as the portion, we couldn't eat all of that.
Cerdo asado, congrí, tostones rellenos y ensalada, fue lo recomendado por la casa, y lo que también pedimos, acompañados de un par de cervezas. El servicio fue de excelente calidad, todos muy amables, el sabor de la comida estaba espectacular así como también la cantidad, no pudimos comernos todo aquello.
The boat ride will offer you a fun time, just don't do like me, who got on right after lunch, wait a while if possible. Taking this precaution, get ready to travel approximately 5 km of fresh water with red mangrove tunnels, native birds of the region, and maybe a crocodile or two. If you get a driver as crazy as mine, hold on tight for the death turn and take the helm yourself, this was the best part, pure adrenaline. 😜
El paseo en lancha te brindará un rato divertido, eso sí, no hagas igual que yo, que me subí a penas almorcé, espera un rato de ser posible. Teniendo esta precaución, prepárate para recorrer aproximadamente 5 km de agua dulce con túneles de mangle rojo, aves autóctonas de la región, y algún que otro cocodrilo. Si te toca un chofer tan loco como el mío, agárrate bien fuerte para dar el giro de la muerte y tomar tú mismo el timón, esta fue la mejor parte, pura adrenalina. 😜
There's just one thing that caught my attention, and it is that the former workers told me that the water level has dropped more than normal, and there are not as many fish either, a true pity because that's precisely what characterizes this place. I hope the situation changes, for the better of course.
Solo hay una cosa que me alertó, y es que los antiguos trabajadores me comentaron que el nivel del agua ha bajado más de lo normal, y que tampoco hay la misma cantidad de peces, una lástima en verdad, porque precisamente este lugar se caracteriza por eso. Espero que la situación cambie, para mejor por supuesto.
And well, as far as I'm concerned, I won't hesitate to come back, I would love to return with the whole family and grab the helm again to see my mother's reaction hahaha.
