Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! It’s been a while since I last shared a travel blog. In this blog, I will introduce to you one of the top beaches in North Cebu City, Juban Garden Resort. This resort is a hidden gem and majestic destination in the northern part of Cebu. It has also gained popularity across various platforms, making it a favorite spot for travelers to unwind and relax. Let’s get started!
LOCATION
The Juban Garden Resort located in Flores, Catmon, Northern part of Cebu, Philippines. The location of this resort is not adjacent to the road. You may still find this resort by following the signpost that they have placed or by riding a tricycle. Juban Garden Resort is a good place for you if you are the kind of traveler who is looking for a soothing and windy breeze from the sea and has a majestic view and surroundings. To get there, take a bus to north Cebu and tell the driver that you will be stopping by at the Catmon Gymnasium. To go to Juban Garden Resort, you need look for a tricycle to take you there. The cost of the bus ride between Danao Sands and Catmon Gymnasium is 25 pesos, while the tricycle ride between Catmon Gymnasium and Juban Garden Resort costs 15 pesos.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
The Juban Garden Resort is a great destination for a getaway with friends and family. At this resort, you can experience the ambiance reminiscent of both Bali and Siargao for just 150 pesos. As soon as you step into the reception area, you'll be greeted by aesthetically pleasing, cozy vibes and stunning architectural designs. The resort also showcases an ethnic concept throughout its cottages, rooms, and other lodging options available on-site. If you're a plant enthusiast, this resort is perfect for you, as Juban Garden Resort features a wide array of plants. The cottages and rooms are built with bamboo, serving as the walls and flooring, while the roofs are made of nipa. The landscape is breathtaking and perfectly enhances the Bali-inspired theme that the resort has embraced.
The resort features two pools: one for adults and one for children. The adult pool ranges in depth from 4 feet to 8 feet. The children's pool has a depth of just 1 foot. Proper swimwear is required to enter the pool; without appropriate attire, you are not allowed to swim. If pools aren't your preference, you can also swim in the wide sea nearby. This resort is a pet friendly, as I have seen pets brought along inside the premises.
ACCOMODATIONS
Juban Garden Resort offers a variety of accommodations. Here’s a breakdown of the accommodations based on my findings.
Pool access — 150 pesos (available from 8 AM to 5 PM)
Function hall
Basketball Court
Room rates — starts at 2,500 to 6,000 pesos (depending on the number of guests and the type of room selected). This rate includes complimentary breakfast. For additional guests, there is a fee of 300 pesos per person.
Cottages — starts at 500 to 6,000 pesos (depending on the number of guests and the specific type of cottage you'll choose)
PRACTICAL TIPS
If you're planning to visit Juban Garden Resort, my suggestion is to pack everything you need, including food, personal items, cameras, and basic necessities. This is because Juban Garden Resort is quite away from any stores. There are no shops available, as certain sections of the resort are still undergoing construction. Even the restaurant was not operational during our visit, so it's essential to bring all the necessary items for your stay at Juban Garden Resort. Additionally, consider making early reservations to Juban Garden Resort, as you may be eligible for a discount. In my case, we booked in advance and inquired about discounts, and the receptionist informed us that we could receive a discount since we booked early and were a larger group. For groups of friends looking to enjoy a relaxing time at Juban, remember to bring your own Bluetooth speaker, as there are no karaoke area or speakers available at the resort.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
My friends and I chose to held our school year-end party at Juban Garden Resort because it is popular on social media, and the stunning views of the resort drew us in. We traveled for two hours to reach this destination, but it was totally worth it since Juban Garden Resort greeted us with its refreshing salty breeze and the clear waters of the pool and sea, making us even more eager to swim! During our time there, we felt as if we were in our own little world since some of the other guests didn’t pay attention to what we were doing. The resort staff was also very accommodating and friendly.
We captured a ton of photos during our time here due to the wonderful lighting that Juban had. The bright sunlight provided excellent photo outcomes, complemented by the refreshing salty breeze. Even their restroom is quite impressive and serves as a great backdrop for pictures because of its architectural beauty.
If you're looking to unwind by the pool and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze along with the beautiful sunlight, you’ll likely want to lounging on their poolside benches. These benches surround the pool, allowing you to decide whether to relax and soak in the atmosphere. My friends stay at these benches to play cards and chat while some of us reveled in the clear waters of the pool.
At 4pm, we began packing our belongings and getting ready for our departure. We prefer not to book a room since we couldn't afford it and some of our friends preferred not to stay overnight. We walked for 30 minutes to reach the national road, as there were no tricycles available at that time. This experience has been good for us to strengthen our friendship and celebrate our survival of the entire semester in college. We faced numerous challenges and shed many tears during that period, and perhaps this getaway is the ideal reward for ourselves as we move forward to our next journey.

Yes! Aside from that, Juban is a place that stops you from using the internet since the resort has a slow connection, that's why you can't use cellular or the internet.
