Poro Point: Perfect Photo Spot

What's up, Hive?!

It was a busy day for my small business today. I handled all the deliveries myself, as my husband is out of town. While I appreciate the sales, it prevented me from finishing the blog posts I've had in draft for a few days. Haha

Today I will be sharing one of the most memorable stops on our La Union family trip which was Poro Point, which our guide told us was also called Punta San Fernando/ San Fernando Point. We were eager to see the iconic lighthouse and the cliff views. However the lighthouse was swarming with people so we opted for the cliff instead. It was breathtaking but also a bit nerve-wracking! There were no railings, just a wide-open space.

It was seriously breathtaking, but also, you know, a little scary. Our guide was super careful though. He took each of us, one by one, to this perfect spot for photos making sure we didn't get too close to the edge. He made us feel much safer.

We arrived at precisely noon and the short walk to the cliff, while challenging in the heat, was absolutely worth it. The breathtaking view made us incredibly glad we hadn't skipped this part of the tour. Some of our friends opted to stay in the van due to the heat but we felt this was a rare opportunity. We might not have another chance to visit, so we enthusiastically took the walk with our kids.

I was totally holding my breath in this photo. Not for the usual reasons, like hiding my tummy, but because I was legit scared I was going to fall. I even asked the guide to warn everyone below, like, 'Hey, just letting you know we're up here!' As if they could have caught me from that crazy height and steepness. I know, I know, dramatic much? haha

After we finished taking our photos, another group of tourists arrived, and we gave them their turn. We found a comfy spot under a tree, just chilling and enjoying the view. But we were totally wondering, 'What's that giant white circle back there?' We couldn't ask our guide, though, he was running around helping everyone else.

We stayed for a few minutes before heading back to the lighthouse and parking area, hoping the crowd had thinned out. Unfortunately, it hadn't. Exhausted from the heat, we immediately boarded the van to enjoy the air conditioning. It was way past lunchtime, and we were starving, but we hadn't spotted any restaurants. So, we decided to just get going and find a place to eat along the way.

You'll find an absolutely breathtaking view at Poro Point, which is just perfect for capturing stunning photos. It's a great spot for a quick, beautiful side trip. Despite our short visit, the view is something I won't soon forget. In fact, one of my favorite photos from the tour became my profile picture on several accounts!

Thanks for reading, and until next time, take care and keep exploring!

Wow, those views from Poro Point are truly breathtaking - the cliff edge photo was a tough one...

I couldn't agree more! The panoramic view is one of my favorites.

That cliff view sounds both thrilling and terrifying at the same time! Kudos to your guide for making sure everyone stayed safe. It’s great that you didn’t let the heat stop you from experiencing such a breathtaking spot totally worth it! And I love how a photo from the trip became your profile picture. That’s when you know a place truly left a mark!

Indeed! Even my kids love using those family photos taken there when he needed some for school or his projects.

The place provides very beautiful moments, the beauty of the front is extraordinary and must be very entertaining ❤️

It's terrifying to be at the edge of that cliff. I didn't take many photos, aside from those taken by our guide, because they wouldn't allow us to get close without one. The sand at the edge was loose, so we needed to be extra careful.

Going to the beach is very fun, I often go to the beach to enjoy the beauty of the beach with friends while seeing the beautiful scenery,And the pictures you take look very interesting, have a nice day 😘

You too, have a great day! My family loves the beach as much as you do.
