I was born in a seaside city, far from the great mountain ranges, and in recent years I have increasingly appreciated the incredible mountain landscape. Uncontaminated nature is a safe place not only for animals but now also for man himself.
In these days I have discovered the beauty of the Carnic Alps, located east of the Italian Alps chain, of its majestic mountains from which cold springs arise that characterize the area with rivers and lakes, such as the famous lake of Cavazzo or lake of the three municipalities, because it actually embraces three small mountain towns.
The lake is located within the chain of the Carnic Alps, not far from the Tagliamento river, a tributary of the great river Po. We visited the lake for its beauty and to spend a pleasant day strolling along its shore, also trying to walk barefoot in cold water, an almost impossible undertaking because after a few seconds the pain from the cold prevented me from continuing any further.
The lake water is transparent and the seabed can be observed clearly, fish such as trout splash around peacefully here and there, free to swim without the danger of man. In fact, fishing for fish is prohibited here.
Furthermore, ducks are present everywhere, probably attracted by our presence because they are used to receiving food. In fact, immediately after throwing a few loaves of bread, we noticed a lot of ducks arriving from the neighboring areas also looking for food. I'm not sure how we communicated, but the system is really efficient.
The path around the lake is about 3 km long, some stretches are more easily accessible, there are services such as bars and restaurants, as well as constant maintenance of the greenery. There is a more natural stretch, where the wild vegetation of the woods can freely grow up to the lake shore.
We have seen some large birds in the sky such as hawks and eagles hovering above our heads in circular trajectories, probably looking for food. From the lake there are several paths for trekking enthusiasts who take visitors on a visit to the woods and some structures such as churches, dams and waterways that are not visible from here.
What I love most about places like these is the silence. Close contact with nature is essential to re-establish our priorities. The dependence on smartphones is a need that is however removed here, a sort of purification. There's no time to waste when you're in nature, and sometimes there's no network to connect either, so the detox actually begins. An experience that very young teenagers should have.
The mountain villages are essential, almost deserted in winter, more crowded during the summer. Here people don't really like tourists, too chaotic and sometimes not very respectful of the environment, but they are aware that tourists guarantee work, road maintenance and the implementation of services.
The mountain is truly a state of mind, a regenerative source. An unconditional beauty.

I completely agree with you. The allure of mountain landscapes is truly captivating. Unspoiled nature not only provides a sanctuary for animals but has also become a refuge for humanity.
Bellissimo posto! Peccato che per me le Alpi siano un po' troppo fuori mano... ci passerei ogni weekend a fare passeggiate in un posto così.
