Hello everybody,
Today I'm going to share with you some photos and history of one of the most beautiful and emblematic places in the city of Porto in Portugal.
The Super Bock Arena formerly known as the Sports Pavilion. This is a space intended for holding sporting, cultural and business events. It is located in the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal in the city of Porto, Portugal.
The building architecturally presents a semi-spherical shell shape, designed by architect José Carlos Loureiro.
This magnificent building is located in one of the most beautiful gardens, the gardens of the Crystal Palace.
Located in the center of Porto, these gardens were created by Berliner Emil David. The initial project remains suspended to this day. It has a biodiversity of different plants, such as lime trees and plane trees.
The gardens of Palácio de Cristal have balconies from which you can enjoy a phenomenal view over the Douro River.
The gardens also feature an imposing group of seven centuries-old trees. These trees known as
Mexican palm trees are examples of the Washingtonia robusta species. They are classified by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests as protected. They are centuries-old trees, around 130 and 150 years old.
They are also known as “the magnificent seven” or “the seven sisters”.
In the gardens of Palácio de Cristal is the Miradouro da Torre, a small
granite tower, from where you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view over the banks of the Douro.
The tower's viewpoint contemplates its visitors enjoying a panoramic view over the Douro River.
where you can see the tourist boats and visit the port city.
The Camões Cave is also one of the attractions of this garden.
This cave has vegetation around it and a water source.
Those who stroll through the gardens of the Crystal Palace still have the privilege of seeing incredible birds such as peacocks.
They are birds of an imposing characteristic beauty.
It is possible to take photographs because they don't mind taking portraits.
