Hello hive friends ☺️ I hope you are all doing well! Today I share with you a little about my visit to the city Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 Without any delay let me drive right into my memory.
Everyday we would take tram 86 from the waterfront city and get to Elizabeth street where we would shop for cloths, food and coffees. The journey on the tram was always memorable.
This is how bright the day would look when we went into the HM mall and shop for some cool accessories. Although it was a bright day the freezing cold weather was never missed 🥶 we would have to travel wearing long coats, socks and even boots.
Unlike India, the Melbourne trams used to arrive on time and never close quickly. Our pick up stop was waterfront city which is near the docks, the river Yarra is very visible and the waves and wind were ever flowing.
It’s always blue skies once it touches 1:00 PM, until then it’s gloomy. Grey skies are also a common thing. What was new is that Melbourne what are continuously changes. People used to see all carrying umbrella because it can be super sunny and then suddenly turn into rain, before you know it, it would be freezing. It’s crazy! how is the weather changes in a blink of an eye.
In Elizabeth Street, there was a lot of shopping areas, but my favourite one out of all is HnM. I ended up buying a green phone cover that I was completely obsessed with and some new jewellery too.
P.s This was the phone cover and it hilariously matches my specks too.
Right next to HnM, was Myer which was my next stop. Entering this building was always filled with such beautiful aromas that we had to purchase a perfume.
Sure, they were a lot of brands but Chanel who was absolutely breathtaking. We sprayed a couple of samples, sniffed both men’s and women’s perfumes. This was the perfect gift for a family members. Ended up buying a men’s perfume for my uncle.
Just look at those bottles! Super fragrant, chic, trendy and pleasing to the eye.
The samplers!
Chanel number five perfume was loved by me and mom. Of course we couldn’t leave without it. Just smelt like a million bucks, we wore it for my nephews christening. Eau De Parfum is meant to stay for a longer time since it’s a concentrated perfume.
I finally understood why people make such a big deal about brands like Chanel.
A whole day went on shopping and it was already late. We were super hungry so we stop by for dinner at this place.
They served pizza, wine and snacks like calamari. The vibe of this place was always so fulfilling because there was a lot of people gathered with their friends having a glass full of wine and belly filled with cheesy Australian pizzas.

Finally, the calamari

The nights were incredibly lit up, the blue lights across the building and tram tracks created such a festive look to the city.
Jam-packed
The peak hours were usually at 3 pm when the cafés and bakeries would close. At 7 pm all the shopping malls would close and people would return to their homes. There were days when the trams would be overflowing with people so much so that we would have to wait for 3 trams to pass through.
Every time we would come by the street, they would be somebody always playing a guitar or their musical instruments while singing a trendy song. This particular time it was a song by Shawn Mendes. The weather, vibe, the people made such a huge difference.
This will always be imprinted in my memory. Thank you so much guys for reading my little post. Hoping to see you next time. Do let me know what you thought in the comments about Melbourne’s busy life or your similar experiences in your city. 🏙️
