Happy St. Patrick day. It is public holiday over here and we decided to take a walk at the Silent Valley mountain park in Newcastle, Northern Ireland.
The Silent Valley Reservoir was built to gather water from the Mourne Mountains and is the main water supply source for most of County Down and a large part of Belfast. As the water is collected from the mountains with little polution, the water quality is pretty good.
We also visited Ben Crom Reservoir, 3 miles walk from Silent Valley. It is a bit windy up there but luckily the rain only came when we are back to the car.
