Why this place called its name?
It is called by its name because of the 24 hectare land and all of the place are planted with rice grains. Some of the rice grains harvested in here will be transported to other parts of the place and been sold out by rice buyers or distributors.
This wide rice field is located in Barangay Poblacion Manticao particularly in Samrak. This rice field can be easily located because it is near at the National road and this 6 lanes of concrete road is near at the Rice field. Most of the people who came from far away place wanta to stopped here for a minute and take picture of the place. Not far from this areas is one of the Private highschool of Manticao. Each side of the street contains lots of electric post were different kinds of cable wires will attached.
This field is also a perfect spot for visiting activities and most of the people who visited here are agricultirists. Approximately, there are a total of 35 rice paddies can be seen here and all of it are already cultured and planted lots of grains. The seedlings or rice grains was also placing in one place or paddies and let it grow until it is a perfect time to pulled out and planted in other rice paddies.
Each corner and the entire place are covered and turned into a rice field. The water irrigations is also near at the field so that it will be very easy to supply lots of water in the rice field. The water was came from a long way in the river and with he help of the water dam here in Manticao, the water can easily channeled and flows all the way down here supplying the rice paddies. Some of the paddies are still cultivating using the agricultural machineries given by the Local Government. The materials used for dividing and walling are made of dry mud. Farmers can also walk in here because loam soil can be harden when it really dries.
This rice field is surrounded with lots of coconut trees in nearby places and it is also one of the primary source of income on some farmers in here. As we noticed about the field, there is a canal located at the middle of the field. This is the irrigation systems were lots of water flowed down in here and supplied all rice paddies. Also, big structures and buildings are also near at the field and in far away distance are the big mountains and hills. Aside of National Road, there is also a Barangay road located here and it leads to other Barangay.
They also used organic fertilizers just like making a decompost materials out of rice halks. Some of the rice halks are placed on each side of the paddies that serve as a wall so it wont spill out the water on the paddies. Aside of that Cows and Carabaos loves to eat rice halks.
Not only rice plants can be seen here, there are also some Trees grows here and one of it are this big and old acacia tree. This trees already grows many years already as one of the Elders told us about this tree. There are lots of insects and it gives a shady areas were rice farmers always take a rest here for a minute. Manticao rice field can help the Municipality progresive and aside of that it is good and perfect to visit. Until my Next post, thank you for stopping by.

Been long time I haven't into this kind of place. I missed walking into the mad, lol as my feet sink into the soft soil 😂.
Luckily Mindanao was not hit by previous typhoons Ma'am. Farmers can still planting and harvesting the grains. ☺
Walking at the muddy place just like in the field is very fun but leeches are everywhere. 😁
