Hello Hive Travelers! I wish everyone a blissful and wonderful day as we start the month of November. I hope you can find time to read and support my new travel blog.
In every place, we have the so-called way of life, in short, culture. It includes the art, beliefs, institutions, manners, dress, language, and many more. When we traveled to Baguio City, of course we saw the reason why people would wish to visit the place. It is rich in culture and traditions. One of the places that showcases the beauty of this tourist destination is the Mines View Park.
What is Mines View Park?
Mines View Park is an overlook park that shows a spectacular view of the gold and copper mines of the Cordillera Mountains. As part of our itinerary, I was excited to see what this park looks like and what it offers to tourists. When we arrived, I observed that people who entered the park paid an entrance fee. So I asked my wife to look at the sign to see how much it costs. We were waiting for our companions from other vans, but as we looked around, they had already entered the park, so we then decided to follow them.
Moments to cherish
The park was full of tourists, which is why we had a hard time locating our colleagues. We just moved down the stairs until we found them. There were many plant displays, souvenir shops, and food stalls inside the park. What attracts us most is their rental of tribal attire. My wife and daughter availed it, while my son and I chose to observe the area while taking photographs.
We had a limited time to tour around the park, so they immediately grabbed the chance to have a photograph with the horse and the indigenous people, or the Igorot elders. My daughter enjoyed her moment wearing the tribe's attire. My wife told me that she'd like to experience riding a horse. I then pay for the fee and let her ride the horse. I also wanted my daughter to experience it, but she's afraid of the horse.
Many people lined up just to experience riding the horse. Most of them were wearing tribal attire. They enjoyed their moments, especially that it's their first time to wear historical attire. It's just that they can't wear it once they proceed to the view deck area. While they were busy taking photos and creating memories, I looked around the plant shops. If only the place were near our home, I would definitely buy some plants that could help me take out my stress. Plants are one of my stress relievers.
When I came back to my wife. I told her to return the tribe attire so that we could exit the park. Going out from the park, I saw the Bruno and St. Bernards dogs, which you can also pay to have a photo with them. I have read an article about them, so I was glad to see them personally.
When we reached the exit, I told them to take a pose in the Mines View Park sign. We were supposed to buy strawberry jams and other souvenirs, but one of our companions said that there is a store that offers a cheaper price of the jam and other souvenir items. I just told our driver that we're ready to go to the next destination.
If given the chance to visit the place again, I hope I could wear the tribe attire and experience other services they offer. This time, I was just observant of the rich culture of the city that I wish to share with my learners.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Till next time.
