Hola amigos viajeros de #worldmappin, paso por aquí a disfrutar de las bellezas que ustedes nos comparten, con las cuales aprendo y me deleito de forma permanente. Aprovecho también para traerles el recuento y las imágenes de mi visita a Ciego de Avila, una hermosa ciudad ubicada hacia el centro de Cuba, que posee bellos paisajes y su propia magia citadina.
La historia empieza cuando nuestra amiga, la joven escritora avileña Daniuska Viera nos invitó a mi esposa y a mí, a participar en el evento artístico literario " Todo por el Arte" que ella coordina. Aceptamos de inmediato. Tomamos nuestras mochilas, un bulto de poemas y salimos rumbo a Ciego.
Nos hospedamos en el hotel de la Asociación China. Lugar espectacular, con una decoración al estilo asiático, con mucha privacidad y confort. El descanso estaba garantizado.
Cantó el primer gallo y ya estábamos recorriendo la ciudad, los artistas asomaban por todas partes repartiendo versos y abrazos. Daniuzca, la anfitriona, nos llevó hasta el "Café Barquito" donde se inauguraba el evento. La trova, las anécdotas y los poemas se mezclaron con el aroma y el sabor de las muchas formas del café que nos sirvieron. Así sucedió en cada presentación.
Despues llegó el momento de andar las calles, urgar en las librerías, visitar los mercados, descubrir otras cafeterías y compartir con nuestros amigos, sin la rigidez escénica del programa.
En la librería del paseo encontramos muy buenos libros a muy buenos precios y en un ambiente de quietud, un café más tormentoso e igual de bueno.
Cantó el gallo por segunda vez y se hizo el abrazo con los escritores Leoneski e Ilieva, escritores camagueyanos a quienes apreciamos mucho. Con ellos compartimos lecturas y el almuerzo en el hotel "Emperador " tiempo que aprovechamos para contarnos nuestras historias de amor y otras locuras.
En la tarde, la agitada tarde de presentaciones, pudimos escuchar a Yasmany y Vasily, además de Leodanis Castellón y otros tantos músicos que prestigiaron y completaron la velada.
Cantó el gallo por tercera vez y el tiempo se había escapado sin que notaramos que Cronos ya nos señalaba hacia la salida. Otra vez los abrazos, las promesas de los próximos encuentros y el regreso a casa, cargados de energías positivas, muchos recuerdos agradables y la dicha inmensa de haber visitado esta ciudad en la que dimos y recibimos Todo por el Arte.

Ciego de Avila: a city with beautiful views.

The story begins when our friend, the young writer Daniuska Viera, invited my wife and me, to participate in the literary artistic event "All for Art" that she coordinates.We accept immediately.We take our backpacks, a lump of poems and leave toward Ciego.
We stay at the Chinese Association Hotel.Spectacular place, with an Asian -style decoration, with a lot of privacy and comfort.The rest was guaranteed.
The rooster sang once and we were already touring the city, the artists appeared everywhere distributing verses and hugs.Daniusca, the host, took us to the "Café Barquito" where the event was inaugurated.The trova, anecdotes and poems mixed with the aroma and taste of the many forms of coffee that was served to us.This happened in each presentation.
Then was the time to walk the streets, rummage in the bookstores, visit the markets, discover other coffee shops and share with our friends, without the scenic stiffness of the program.
In the bookstore in the boulevar we found very good books at very good prices and in an atmosphere of quietness, with a stormless coffee and just as good as others.
The rooster sang twice and we hugged to Leoneski and Ilieva, a couple of camagueyans writers whom we appreciate very much.With them we share readings and lunch at the "Emperor" hotel, we took that time to tell each other our love stories and other follies.
In the afternoon, the agitated afternoon of presentations, we were able to listen to Yasmany ( a great writer and friend) and Vasily, in addition to Leodanis Castellón and many other musicians who prestigated and completed the evening.
The rooster sang for the third time and time had escaped without us noticing that Cronos already pointed us towards the exit. Once again the hugs, the promises of the next meetings and the returning to home, loaded with positive energies, many pleasant memories and the immense bless of having visited this city in which we gave and received All for Art.
