Exploring the West River of Vietnam : Day 1 An Giang

in Worldmappin3 years ago

Hi guys!

It's been more than a week, but now I'm back, do you guys still remember me? Last week I was so busy at work it took up all of my schedules. so I can't go up and share with everyone...

On busy days like this, it reminds me of my trips last year. It was a very beautiful and meaningful time in my life. it helps me to grow up and be stronger in life. After a long time of trying to learn and work, I decided to stop everything and give up everything for once to do what I like, I quit the job that didn't make me happy, leaving my worries behind. so that I can pack my backpack and go to places I have never been to, eat local foods, and interact with local culture and people to learn more things.

On that journey, my friends and I went to the western part of my country, to discover about nature, people, weather, climate... or the customs in these places.

On that trip, our group consisted of 4 people: 2 boys and 2 girls, Le is a friend who has accompanied me on many trips or said a rather interesting brother I accidentally met on the trip. then go to the west together, or charm a girl with a pretty personality...

Because I had been to Saigon before and Duyen and Le were in Danang. My group gathered in the morning in Saigon and started the trip together. The first place we went there was An Giang. Also quite close to Saigon.

When I arrived in An Giang, my group visited the pagoda and the forbidden mountain, which are visited by many tourists when coming to An Giang. Ba Pagoda is a very sacred temple, many tourists come here to pray for peace. Located at the foot of the forbidden mountain, the pagoda is not very large, but the architecture of the specimens here is unique.

The pagoda is made from a lot of jade stone, creating solemnity and majesty for the temple. There are many items donated by people who come here to pray when they are finished, then they come back and thank the temple for being displayed again.

Although the overall area of the temple is not as big as the ones I have been to, the architecture is very harmonious, with ancient and old features...

After exploring and towering around the pagoda, my group decided to explore the forbidden mountain and catch the sunset on it. From the top of the mountain, we can drop our eyes to the panoramic view below, watch the winding rivers, the square rice fields stacked side by side or the red-roofed houses below.

We can visit the stalls of the people selling here, there are many interesting things, or learn about the famous oral stories from the sellers about the legend, the sacredness of the world. this.

Watch the sunset, and enjoy the cool breeze blowing on you. Or take some photos to keep the memory of coming here.

It took a long time to explore. The sun was also slowly going down the mountain, so my group decided to move to the next point so that the next day we could leave early. That point is the Tra Su Melaleuca forest. My group rented a room nearby to leave early the next day. When we arrived in that area, there was a power outage, so we had to eat dinner in the light, although reluctantly, it was quite interesting haha...

And end the day with a beer with my friend. A day of driving is quite tiring. but full of excitement and fun.
