Este es un pueblo que se encuentra a orillas de la carretera que uno en la ciudad de Cumaná y Maturín, es una población que tiene muchos encantos naturales muy peculiares, además de poseer gente muy atenta y cordial, en su mayoria dedicada a ala agricultura y cria de ganado; como es un pueblo de paso, tiene innumerables comercios, pues hacia ella van los labriegos que viven en zonas apartadas, para apertrecharse de víveres y de las personas que transitan de una ciudad a otra, allí se encuentran desde repuestos para carros y tractores, hasta tiendas de conveniencia y restaurantes.
