Hello everyone today I will take you to the one of the best trek I ever had with my friend which was near to my place which is the hidden gem in the middle of the dense forest we can travel there by our cars. The parking facility is available the people over there are very kind and also you can go on a trek from there to kuppar which will take Upto 2 hours from there.
We began our journey from Shimla eager to reach Giri Ganga. The road condition were far from ideal with rough patches and mud making it challenging to navigate. To tackle the rough terrain we opted for a rugged gypsy which helped us move through the slippery uneven road. As we ventured deeper into the dense forest the journey became even more thrilling with the surrounding wilderness adding to the adventure.
This was the time to start our trek the path was beautifully built with the arrow on the side of the path which were leading to the kuppar. It was the time to lead into the forest by crossing the meadows. We started our trek 2:00pm by carrying all our essentials and bagpacks on our back as to the path we were leading ahead there were no shops.
After a long walk everyone was tired so we stopped there for a while. It was a long time we all met each other so it was great fun together. Chit chat sharing our thoughts which made us happy and everyone got relaxed some of the guys started clicking photographs of the beautiful surrounding.
So we started walking again as the destination was little far and we stopped there for so long. We had to reach there by time as we needed to put our camps and collect the wooden logs for the bornfire because it was the cold zone where we were going to stay. As we moved little forward we saw a steep path which was leading to the dense forest with big pine trees. It was the long steep patch which made us all tired even after a long rest.
It was the time after a long struggle no one was left with the energy. Half of the trek was behind them and they paused to catch their breath. Sitting on the rocky ground relaxed and took in the breathtaking views letting the piece of the mountains wash over them. Some of us took a nap before continuing our journey.
As the sun dipped lower the darkness began to settle over the landscape. Some of us started gathering wooden logs for the bornfire searching for dry branches. Others scouted the area looking for the perfect area to setup camps. The air grew cooler and the shadows stretched longer as we worked together preparing for the night.
As night fell the view from the top was breathtaking. Far below the distant city light
Twinkled like stars casting a soft glow across the valley. The hustle and the bustle of the everyday life seemed worlds away replaced by the serene silence of the mountains. The gentle breeze whispered through the trees.
As night fell more the wind started blowing as it was the top of the ridge the temperature was getting down the bornfire made us comfortable to sit outside enjoying the sounds of the nature. The batteries we bought got finished because of the cold so we switched on flashlight of the phone the batteries were getting drained very fast there was no scope to charge our phone.
This was time our logs got finished and we were tired just going in our tents to take rest before that we collected some more logs to fire up so that the animals in the jungle would not attack us by seeing the light. As it is very common between the jungles the animals come in search of food and sometimes the human comes in contact.
This was the place where our tents were setup. The Sunrise was awesome how the sun was coming out from the mountain the breeze before sunrise was sharp and cold but it only made the beauty of the nature more vivid. The mountains stood still bathed in the soft glow of the early morning light.
The view was nothing short of awe inspiring. The snow covered Himalayan ranges stretched across the horizon their jagged peaks glowing in the soft morning light. The vast expanse of white and rugged terrain created a breathtaking panoramic scene. It felt as though the entire world was spread out before us untouched and pure a majestic reminder of natures grandeur and beauty.
The views were awesome so I lied down and stared capturing the every view that were easily seen from there. We were at the elevation of 3200 m. So the every peaks were easily visible from the top . We could spot the every area of the surrounding which got very interesting.
Despite taking numerous photos we couldn’t capture the full beauty of the scene. The view was breathtaking with towering mountains and dense jungle stretching out before us. I used binoculars hoping to spot some wildlife hidden among the trees but even the closest glimpses of nature seemed too vast and elusive to fully capture in a single frame. And after enjoying the views we started packing our bags and tents as we need to reach back to the point we started from.
Upon returning we offered our darshan and received blessing feeling the serene energy of the place. We meditated for a while allowing ourself to connect with the peaceful surrounding. Afterward we went into the sacred waters of the holy bath the cool refreshing water adding to the sense of purity and tranquility. It was a deeply rejuvenating experience both spiritually and physically.
Giri Ganga is a beautiful place hidden near Kharapathar in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. There is a story behind the name of the place an ancient sage wanted to create a place in Himachal Pradesh having the same energy and power as Kashi. For this they chose the nirmand village he and some of his sadhus were carrying the sacred Ganga Jal in their Kamandals from Haridwar. They were following the ancient path which goes through the ancient path the Nagan valley Giri Ganga temple and Kuppar Bugyal also lies in their ancient path. The sage chose to rest at this place and during this time the Ganga Jal they were carrying accidentally spilled on the ground the immediate reaction and the first words were Giri Ganga which means Ganga spilled. Then the stream of water was formed there and it was named Giri Ganga river.
