Hello everyone hope you all are doing great today I will take you on a spiritual journey from the misty hills of Himalaya to the sacred town where lord Krishna was born and spent his childhood. It was a long journey 500 km from Shimla. We began our journey at 6 AM leaving behind the misty hills of Shimla. Our first stop was #KURUKSHETRA the sacred land where the epic MAHABHARATA war took place between the KAURAVAS and the PANDAVAS and where Lord Krishna delivered BHAGAVAD GITA.
KURUKSHETRA ENTRANCE GATE
At 11 AM we reached KURUKSHETRA where the morning aura was serene and calming. The streets were quiet with shops just beginning to open. The sacred energy of this historic land where Lord KRISHNA delivered the BHAGAVAD GITA was truly mesmerising offering a peaceful start to our exploration.
As we entered the BRAHMA SAROVAR area we were captivated by its divine ambience. Each pillar surrounding the sacred water body beautifully depicted verses from the BHAGAVAD GITA accompanied by stunning illustrations. The artistic representation of Lord KRISHNAs teachings added a spiritual essence, making the experience both visually and emotionally enriching.
BRAHMA SAROVAR
The entire area was covered in thick fog creating a mystic atmosphere. The temperature was quite low adding to the serene ambience. As I stepped into the freezing water for a holy bath an initial chill ran through my body but soon I adapted feeling refreshed and spiritually awakened after the sacred dip.
BRAHMA SAROVAR PARK
After the holy dip we began walking around the Brahma Sarovar area soaking in its peaceful ambiance. We came across the Brahma Sarovar Park a beautifully maintained space filled with greenery. The highlight was the grand statue of Arjun’s Rath depicting Lord Krishna guiding him a powerful reminder of the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
After a holy bath we resumed our Journey to Vrindavan and arrived at 6 PM. Our hotel was conveniently located near Prem Mandir. After taking some time to relax we stepped out to explore the serene evening atmosphere. We then enjoyed a delightful dinner at a nearby restaurant savouring the local flavours and the spiritual ambience.
TEMPLES TIMINGS
Next morning we waked up and started planning how to visit the place making our itinerary for the day we asked a hotel staff for the timing of the temples when they are opened for the visitors. We got a schedule of the famous places over there.
YAMUNA GHAT
First we visited Yamuna Ghat to offer our prayers. The serene atmosphere and the gentle flow of the river filled us with peace. There we saw a beautifully coloured boat and decided to take a ride. The cool breeze and the scenic view made the experience truly mesmerising.
NIDHIVAN
After a boat ride we took a rickshaw to Nidhivan one of the Vrindavan's most famous and mysterious places believed to be the sacred site of Lord Krishna’s divine pastimes.
Nidhivan is deeply associated with Lord Krishna and Radha. According to legend it is believed that Lord Krishna visits Nidhivan every night to perform Ras Leela with Radha and the gopis. Due to this belief no one is allowed to stay inside Nidhivan after sunset and locals claim that those who try to witness these divine activities either lose their senses or never return.
MATHURA
Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi
After Nidhivan we travelled to Mathura which was 22 Km from there we went to Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi the famous place of mathura. The security over there was tight the phones and the cameras were not allowed inside we deposited our phones and cameras in the lockers nearby and took the receipt. The structure was beautifully built and well maintained thousands of devotees were there to see the beauty of the Mathura and to pray.
GOVARDHAN PARVAT
After that we visited Govardhan parvat it was a long trek about 21km (Govardhan Parikrama) it was quite challenging. There are autos that make the Parikrama easy and it cost 100 Rs per person and it will take upto
2 hrs .
BANKE BIHARI MANDIR
After completing our parikrama we returned to Vrindavan and decided to visit Banke Bihari Mandir. The path was crowded making it difficult to enter. However we managed to get inside and the atmosphere was incredible. The temple was packed with devotees and the divine energy inside was truly mesmerising filling us with devotion and peace.
PREM MANDIR
We returned to our hotel at 7:00 PM and decided to visit Prem Mandir just 300 meters away. Thousands of people stood in a queue to enter. As we stepped inside the breathtaking Prem Mandir stood before us illuminated beautifully. The temple changed colors enhancing its mesmerizing beauty. The intricate carvings, divine atmosphere and spiritual aura left us spellbound making the visit truly unforgettable.
