This time I had to go to Padrón, a small town in Galicia in the province of La Coruña, which for a long time was the starting point for pilgrims arriving by sea to the tomb of the Apostle Santiago.
Today it is a place well known for the famous "Padrón peppers, of which the locals say in rhyme "some are hot and some are not".
It is a cozy, quiet place, one of those that cause to be chosen to spend old age.
Here are some photos of the place so you can get to know it.
This is the bridge of Santiago and at the end you can see the convent of Carmen.
Here is a closer view of the convent of Carmen from one of the streets of the town.
In this one we can see the stairs to the convent.
Here is the convent in all its splendor.
A view of the bridge of Santiago.
In this picture you can see the Chapel of the Tertiary Order in honor of Saint Anthony.
This is the Plaza Macias
And this last one shows one of the streets of Padrón.

t's wonderful how food traditions like this add charm and character to a place, becoming a cultural symbol that is enjoyed and celebrated by both locals and visitors. Thank you for sharing this intriguing aspect of Padrón, and I hope you had a delightful time exploring the town and savoring the unique flavors of the Padrón peppers!
Of course I have enjoyed them and I have taken them to my city, be sure that I will come back another time because the atmosphere is very quiet.
