Don Ca Arc Bridge - Nestled at the Foot of the Picturesque Hai Van Pass

in Worldmappin3 years ago

Hi everybody! Wishing everyone a new week full of energy and joy in life. How are you today?

Busy daily life makes us forget that time is passing very quickly without looking back. Everyone has their own way of life and their own way of enjoying life. Some people will choose their own time to do the things they like, there are also people who feel happy when they gather with their family on weekends. Personally, a little girl who lives far from her parents wants to spend her free time on weekends to go backpacking to explore interesting places, admire the beauty of nature and recharge the energy for a better working week.

Today I will take you for a short walk to a picturesque place on the Hai Van Pass but very few people have written about - that is "Cầu Vòm Đồn Cả". This is a very beautiful and unique check-in place in Da Nang, you will surely have wonderful experiences and photos.

When mentioning Da Nang, many people will think of a tourist city with famous bridges such as Song Han bridge, Tran Thi Ly bridge, Thuan Phuoc bridge, Dragon bridge - these are all symbols of the city. Besides modern bridges, this place is also favored by nature with many beautiful scenes, friendly people and rich cuisine. And the place connecting Da Nang - Hue also has a bridge with traces of time, it is considered as a polite witness to keep the past and present - that is Cau Vom Don Ca. This place is a great place for those who love nature, trees and want to escape the noisy and bustling life.

Previously, on camping trips on Hai Van Pass, I had to stop for a long time to admire the dreamy beauty of the railway running along the coast connecting Da Nang to Hue. At that time, I just wished that I could set foot in that place, it would be more beautiful and interesting. Until by chance I came across a friend's facebook, I was so excited to know this place is actually reachable, I decided to pack my backpack to explore this place.

And it was very beautiful, more beautiful than I imagined, I felt like I was lost in a world only in a comic book or a distant country. From the top of the pass, the train looks really small, but when you get close to it, you can see how big it is.

Immerse yourself in the poetic natural scenery of Don Ca Bridge

Hai Van Quan is the place where the North-South climate separates, vehicles such as cars and motorbikes can go through the pass by tunnel to save time. However, that way, we will not be able to fully admire the beautiful sea and natural scenery on both sides of the pass. This is also the reason why backpackers like me always choose motorbikes to conquer this most beautiful pass in Vietnam.

Happy To See The Trains

Located on the border between Hue and Da Nang city, at the foot of Hai Van pass, Cau Vom Don Ca has a rare beauty. Hai Van Pass was once in the top 10 most beautiful coastal roads in the world. It is famous for its winding roads around Bach Ma mountain, with one side of the mountain and the other side of the sea.

Cau Vom Don Ca was built around 1902 - 1906, the architecture of the bridge with 4 arches, built mainly of stone, is 20m high with a length of about 100m. An arch bridge acts as a gateway for you to enter another world. I felt like I was entering a world of mystery and magic that we usually only see in famous movies like Harry Potter. I have looked at the bridge from many different angles to fully appreciate its beauty and realize its grandeur. The foot of the bridge is made solid and super big standing in the middle of heaven and earth to support the trains that take people where they want to go.

The arch bridge was originally a section on the Hai Van pass railway. If you come to Cau Vom Don Ca and you can see the trains passing by, it is a blessing, and I had that luck when I came here. Watching the train pass by gave me an indescribable feeling. It is a feeling of excitement, admiration and desire to sit on those trains to explore new lands. When you hear the train whistle in the distance, have your camera ready to take some really cool pictures. For those who travel, this is a very interesting place to travel Hue - Da Nang, both comfortable, relaxing, and "pocket" many "virtual living" photos for life.

If you observe from afar, you will see that the bridge is located next to the Don Ca relic site and Bai Bac station right at the foot of Hai Van pass. It lies across the pass, at the foot is a poetic stream, with solid stone footbridges. When walking along the tracks, you will find this walking path picturesque with small houses nestled quietly and green trees spreading along both sides of the track.

Currently, Cau Vom Don Ca not only plays an important role in the North-South railway line, but it is also a check-in place that attracts many people to come here to explore because of its unique beauty. You will find peace and comfort for your soul, listen to the rustling of leaves, feel the cool breeze... The road to get there is quite tough but the reward you get will definitely be extremely worth it.

The way to Cau Vom Don Ca - Picturesque Check-in Location

The arch bridge is halfway between Hai Van Pass - to get here, you will have to stop at Hai Van Bac Station. Hai Van Bac Station is a train station in Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province. The station is a stop of the North-South railway and connects Lang Co station with Hai Van station. Following the tracks, you will gradually get lost in the secret world, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and come to Cau Vom Don Ca among the natural mountains.

From Da Nang city center, it took me about 1 hour to get to Hai Van Bac Station. You can search Google map "Don Nhi Bridge or Bac Hai Van Station". Before coming to Don Nhi bridge, you will see a small house (of railway staff) on the left hand side and heading down to Bac Hai Van station on the right hand side. From here you follow a small, steep and very slippery road paved with cement. At the end of the ramp of about 500m, everyone will see a track in front of you. Follow the track towards Da Nang for more than 1km, you will come to Cau Vom Don Ca.

I rode a motorbike to get to Hai Van Pass, this road always brings a poetic and majestic beauty of nature, one side is the sea and the other is the mountain forest. This route is really beautiful, on the way you can stop to take pictures with the famous lonely pine tree and check-in the most beautiful arc at the top of Hai Van pass. I guarantee you will have the best and best quality photos.

Cau Vom Don Ca at the foot of Hai Van Pass will be the ideal place for you to enjoy happy and relaxing moments on weekends, breathe in fresh air and recharge for a new week. It has a cool stream, large flat rocks. If you love camping and are looking for a place to immerse yourself in nature to see the sky and enjoy the fresh air, this is the ideal place for you. Surely you will have a fun and interesting camping trip. If you have the opportunity to come to Da Nang, you should visit Cau Vom Don Ca - this little-known paradise of nature in Da Nang.
