Hello everyone, today is a Wednesday, do you have any special plans for today? Hope you will have a nice day and have comfortable moments.
Today I spent my rest day packing up my backpack and going on a trip to a rather interesting place. It is interesting not only in the destination but also in the journey to get there. This was a random trip of mine so I didn't plan or prepare. I just wanted to take some time to myself and enjoy that comfort.
My destination today is Dong Giang Tea Hill. This place is endowed with fertile soil, so the trees here are green all year round without too much care. Coming here, you will be really captivated by the green color of the tea hills and the surprisingly peaceful and fresh air. And I want to spend my weekend discovering that beauty.
How to go to Dong Giang tea hill?
Not many backpackers visit like other famous places in Vietnam such as Hai Van Palace, Ha Giang, Sapa,... Quang Nam is also blessed with beautiful places by nature. I think not many people know that in the middle of the arid central region, there is such a dreamy green tea hill.
Dong Giang tea hill is located in Jo Hay commune, Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province and is about 44km west of Da Nang city center. You can choose a bus or a motorbike to come here. However, to discover all the beauty of the majestic road as well as have great experiences, motorbikes are the most ideal choice. And the way to the tea hill is very easy.
I chose for myself the road up to Ba Na Hills - the road known as the way to heaven because of the beautiful scenery on both sides of the road. Then run in the direction of Hoa Phu Thanh waterfall - back to Doc Kieu to pass Ba commune, run straight and you will see a vast blue sky and you have reached Dong Giang tea hill. The road to the tea hill is also very beautiful, on both sides of the road are majestic and majestic hills. I encountered beautiful streams lying on the side of the road, green lakes hidden in the woods, creating a beauty that shook anyone passing through this road. I deliberately walked slowly so that I could enjoy this scenery a little longer.
Traveling by motorbike on the passes to Dong Giang allows me to freely explore the wild beauty of the mountains and forests of Quang Nam.
I have had many charity trips to Dong Giang, also passed this road many times, but those times my purpose is to bring joy to children in disadvantaged areas. And I still haven't had a chance to visit Dong Giang tea hill even though I have heard about it many times. Now, the purpose of this trip is to satisfy my passion for backpacking and conquer the beauty of Dong Giang from a different perspective.
Fall in love with the picture-like beauty of Dong Giang tea hill
Dong Giang tea hill is surrounded by majestic pristine forests. Thanks to the vibrant green color of fresh tea leaves, the tea hill becomes extremely prominent in the space of heaven and earth.
When I came to the tea hill, the people here cut the tops off so that the young shoots can grow in the spring. So I'm quite sorry that I can't see the young green tea buds reaching out to welcome the sun and wind, sucking in the spirit of heaven and earth, and grow up. I can only watch the tea hills turn dark green, that's when the tea has reached "ripe" and is ready to be harvested by the farmers. For many generations, Dong Giang tea hill is not only a source of life for people in the region, but also a place to nourish the soul, mark and stick with simple daily activities.
I had the opportunity to be introduced and guided by the farmers on how to care for and harvest fresh tea very interestingly, so I knew that it is not easy to make delicious cups of tea.
The climate of Quang is so harsh, but nature is extremely favorable for this place, which is cool and fresh. So the tea trees are very green and bring a source of life to the people here.
I just had time to take pictures of the green tea trees left unharvested by the farmers here. But that is enough for me to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful space here. Green tea trees are planted in long, straight rows on undulating hills between heaven and earth. In the midst of such a vast space, I feel so small, all sorrows disappear.
When is the most beautiful season to visit Dong Giang Tea Hill?
Dong Giang tea plantation is carefully and thoughtfully cared for by the people here, so it is lush all year round, each season here will bring a different unique beauty, that's why come in spring or summer. will also bring you great experiences. In spring, the trees are lush and the tea buds gently stretching out in the sun grow vigorously.
Fragile small dewdrops deposited on tea leaves waiting for the first rays of sunlight to shine like glass, making the whole tea hill glow with pure vitality. In the afternoon, this place is also an ideal place for you to watch the sunset. One thing I really like is that this place is an ideal place to admire the beauty of the sunset, the sun will freely create great beauty with the surrounding mountains without being obscured by buildings. high-rise buildings like in the city.
There is nothing better than leaving behind all the troubles and pressures in life. Pack your backpack and go to experience new things, to nourish your soul, re-energize yourself and love life, people and unique natural landscapes. Take some time of your youth - go and experience new lands to feel what a meaningful life you are living.

Great read, reminded me of the time I visited Sylhet. The fresh tea leaves were vibrant and looked firm as here.
haha you must have had interesting things in Sylhet like me when coming to Dong Giang tea hill
I was little at the time and yeah! It was mountainous so the environment was a bit damp and cool. The people were friendly. Gosh I miss those times😅.
Wow. It is such a refreshing place and full of beauty. I hope you enjoyed a lot!
