Organised Chaos!

If you check out my previous posts, you will see that I had a little tour of the beautiful island of Mallorca, from our trip to Sa Calobra, we got on a boat that took us through to Port De Soller and then a tram up to the town of Soller.

The boat was massive that we got on, and it must have held over 200 people, there was at least 3-4 coach trips on there including ours. I didn't take any pictures on there due to the amount of people, when we got to Port De Soller, the chaos started.

We had to find our rep as we got off the boat by looking for her umbrella, which was no mean feat with the amount of people there, we looked around and saw her, walked over, when the entire coach of 55 people found her, we had to go and get the tram, this was a nightmare, it was busier than Palma airport and everyone trying to get on the tram for a seat, some people did have to stand.

We managed to get a seat, and I was in my element, I don't know what it is, but I love trams, especially old ones, I do love to see the old light fittings etc, sorry I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to trams lol.

I couldn't take many pictures on the tram as I didn't get a window seat, but it was beautiful to travel on it, even though it was rammed, looking up the old streets as we passed by on our journey up to and through Soller was brilliant, it was how you imagine spain, the tram runs close to shop fronts too, so you can see inside the shops and people within touching distance having coffee's etc outside enjoying the weather, it certainly is a unique place that really does deserve more exploration, another reason to go back to Mallorca.

When we stopped in Soller, we only had 30 mins before our train to Palma, I so wish we had more time as I wanted to walk down to the centre to check out the church as well as some shops, it was a beautiful but busy place, I'm not sure if I'd like to visit there in the heights of summer, but I really do need to get back there.

On the way on the train we again entered the mountains, the train circled the town quite a few times leaving beautiful views of Soller, and yes, you can see the church from the mountains and train station too.

Overall, I really loved the day out, but wish we had more time in certain places, I'd love to visit these places again, but I think I will hire a car on my next visit to do these things at my own pace.

I hope you've enjoyed this post, and if you've made it this far, thanks ever so much for reading.

All the best :-)
