I went to the city of Pula to solve some documents, a lot of people were waiting in line, so I decided to make a tourist trip.
I set out from there the rest of the Roman Empire
one legend says: if a loving couple kisses down, they will have fertile love
to the right are the city walls and a beautiful Austro-Hungarian building
behind the Golden Gates is the Caffe bar Zweiner that he built
James Joyce
went along Prvomajska Street, which used to be a brothel street during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, because the city had a lot of troops, mostly navies.
so I photographed the terraces which are poorly viewed and to me they are beautiful
this is an austro-hungarian villa whose roof can now be seen but has a nice carved head on the front door
before entering the Forum you will find this terrace
across it is a small passage almost imperceptible
which hides an archaeological site
exits
look at the remains of the buildings and head towards the Forum
at the Forum the beautiful Temple of Augustus of the Roman Empire
writes PETRAS COTA
MDXX- 1520 years
the Romans carved out to know how to respect and preserve nature
IN PUBLIC FORESTS
MAGRAN UNDER SISAN
OVANOVA UNDER SESAN
CAVAL UNDER CRNICA
LOGGING ANDGRAZING ARE PROHIBITED
the Temple of Augustus the Twins was demolished in the First or Second World War so it was rebuilt august twin temple was demolished only the back part while the front face remained intact in the first or second world war so it was rebuilt
the Acantus plant was heavily used on poles
the temple next to it is intact
archaeological Roman sculpture
the whole facade
little terrace on the forum
door and ground floor window
I walked towards the park along the shore where I came across another terrace
there is ULJANIK former old AUSRO-HUNGARIAN SHIPYARD made machinery building ships submarine bombs all you need kavlite is how good i don't know if there is another huge lathe shaft machining precision ipod hundreds of millimeters still works if it doesn't destroy evil all unfortunately
across the entrance there is a park in which are parts of the remains of Roman buildings and tombs of sarcophagi
daily excavated and rebuilt foundations of the ruined cathedral
old Magnolia Grandiflora used to be a lot of them, they just don't know how to appreciate wood because they are tall old and they block out light and view because they are planted near buildings so they survive like this in the park
the entrance of that villa with its head above the vault
I came to the Pula Theater
on that hill there is a building with two sculptures on the terrace
during Austro-Hungary there was an elite brothel
on the right side of the street on the left is a beautiful building but very neglected from that time
across from it the building during Austro-Hungary was supposed to be a casino and then the building for the military eleta headquarters inside is beautiful on another occasion I will hear it fotografitatsad the outside
there is immediately the main post office where this fountain is, I just don't know what age it is and how old it is, but it's beautiful to me
I entered Prvomajska Street again and came to the Golden Gate
when I came out after the walls on the left on Korzo where the Taxis are there is a small entrance there we go into the underground tunnel
the tunnels are 2.5 meters high and 3-6 meters wide. The temperature in summer and winter is 14-18 'degrees, while now it's 31.5 outside
we are here at the entrance
the tunnels are 900 meters long, four branches are placed that connect the working airways in the middle below the Kestel fortress, the air is 900 meters long, four branches are placed, which are connected in the middle below the Kestel fortress to connect with fresh air flows
how comfortable and beautiful the pastures are they refresh the air you breathe very easily
there are a lot of side benches
i found ml formation of young stalactite
these tunnels can accommodate 6,000 people
the inscription prohibiting the sale to persons under 18 years of age
a little ahead is the evening all beautifully carved
after Austro-Hungary came Italia so they added and widened the tunnels below Pula
I enter the fork of the tunnel di je galeria
it is very comfortable inside
direction of tram movement towards Cazin
I'm going to another tunnel
I came across Cesare Rossarol
a ship that sank on the last of its own underwater bomb in the northern Adriatic of the Istrian peninsula in Kvarner. They also made a documentary about him is a very good historical one
I walked further towards the exit but nothing.
closed I have to go back and keep researching but it suits me very well
the ceiling closed hole was obviously connected to the Fortica Kastel which is above us
tried to self-photograph calcite
I came across a wooden barrel full of mold and small fungi
in further searches
the dormitory is no wonder when all the tunnels they drilled fit 45000-50000 people, which is to say that almost the entire population of the city of Pula has shelter
moisture drips
one drop of water on a spider's web
this is the same only from above descends one tiny it was photographed in the dark on saliva well it worked
I left the room still on the damp floors but I didn't mind it was very comfortable
oblique lines are traces of modern tools
these glittering dots are the drops of water waiting for smda to fall
the old telecommunication holders still cling to the rusty good metal they used
every now and then I saw at the bottom of such openings
there is a much bigger opening, maybe it connects to the floor below, which wouldn't surprise me, because somewhere there are 4-6 floors under the ground.
exit but blind closed
makes a way out
bani at 32 ’degree on the underside is a closed statement
and my glasses blurred
the street upstairs leads to the church I heard it another time
there is also a mummy in this church
I descend further into Prvomajska Street
chimney of an old paper incinerator
I don't know when and when he made this monument, but it is dedicated: - Monument to retired whores. That is its purpose and so it is called and it should be respected yet it was the capital of the military
across from it, the excavations where a very large number of amphorae were found were about 6-8 meters below sea level in the stone and nothing leaked, everything was clean, the dog was buried to be saved for some future.
this was the only free bench where no one sat and each bench has its own story
The cure for everything is salt water - sweat, tears or the sea
in front is a large ship's anchor
above it is the bell tower on the hill above the Arena Amphitheater
bronze plan of the city of Pula
we find ourselves where this is a brilliantly small peninsula between a five-pointed star
this is Fortica Kastel under which we were in the tunnels
and now let’s take a look at the Arena Amphitheater
Put do nje je s lijeve strane Karolina
built MDCCCLX-1860 year
Arena Amphitheater
since it contains the word Amphibian it means it has to do with water and earth
it was a rare perhaps even the only amphitheater in which there was water and there were battles with ships
when vision was removed, gladiator games could also take place because everything below is full of labyrinths.
view from a distance
the church to which we saw the bell tower above the anchor
near down the street the door of an old building was open so I took a picture of the stairs of the old one
I descended to the Double Gate which was the main one for entering the old town
I am moving towards the Museum where you can see that a lot of buildings collapsed due to the war, so that the material is not thrown away, the walls were built
entrance to the Museum
I came to the Market where it is sold, inside it there is a fish market, butcher shops and on the first floor there are cafe bars and cheese shops selling cheese
an old-fashioned spinach that you can freshen up to wash or drink water if you are thirsty
With this your greetings to all on a small excursion of historical sights

Nice pictures, I enjoyed this trip to Pula.
Thanks for that
:-)
Oh my word!! What a lovely walk through your city!! I'm sure many visitors would have missed many of the small details you showed us. Just shows how important it is to have a local guide, and that when we can't travel, we can write about own city and share with everyone.

Hi yes historical details this city and the entire Istrian Peninsula is full of them especially the City of Pula which was the center of the Roman and Austro-Hungarian Empires and again under Italy is quite preserved so we can watch and admire the old civilization as they lived in harmony with nature.
It takes a lot of walking a lot of times to see all the details in one day, it is impossible to see everything like this, the tour of the history of the city will continue
That's lovely , please continue to share with us on Pinmapple.com .

Very nice old part of the city! Too many photos, I couldn’t load on my app!
yes a lot of photos I downloaded the Esteem app on the iphone connected to the Hive via it and posted it. There was a fear that not everything would happen because there is a lot of text and photos that I still chose not to be too much, but the app works really well :-)
