Gosh, I haven’t been on a White House tour in a long time. I remember back when you just had to stand in-line in the morning to get your timed entry ticket! Also remember when you could wander through congressional offices without security and even hop on the underground train between offices and the capitol. Alas… 25 years has changed the world.
I would love to see it at Christmas. What a treat!
I used to lead bus tours across the US. DC was always one of my favorite stops. So much to see. The history, the grandeur, the poignant memorials. 😍
Way more security now! But we got to take the underground trains under the capitol - we asked for a tour to see them (I love trains). Shoot, should have asked you for DC tips :) - Glad you liked Christmas at the White House.
