Greetings to all Hive friends! Today I want to share with you a place I visited during the weekend located in the popular neighborhood of San Telmo where there was a very interesting arts and crafts fair with medieval themes that offered to the public a variety of handmade products for sale all related and set in this era.
This kind of events usually take place from time to time and are somewhat exclusive so I decided to take the opportunity to attend with several friends and see what it was all about, enjoy a little and in this way share with these ancient cultures and traditions.
The event was held in a foundation called Mercedes Sosa Foundation and this is the fourth fair held, which is called the landing of the king. To access the place a small contribution of 200 Argentine pesos was requested, which would be approximately 1$ at the exchange rate, so it was a very affordable price to enjoy everything that was offered inside.
The place was surrounded by many stalls where you could find necklaces, charms, bracelets, chains, rings. Handmade products such as dolls, tables with written runes, wooden glasses made in the pure Viking style, there were even several stalls where they had leather bracelets for sale and even wooden shields with very attractive decorations.
Apart from this, there were also stands for tasting drinks such as mead and another with a mixture of beer and mead with good offers to the public. Stalls that were even documented by people through microphones, cameras, in the style of a reportage, it seems that independently.
One of the most striking things is that not only the vendors and participants of the fair were dressed in Viking, Celtic or pagan style, but the same public that attended was dressed with this theme, there were even people dressed as elves and others with attire representative of the Game of Thrones series.
The vendors of handicrafts, wines and other beverages wore war costumes such as vests, helmets with horns and make-up in this style. In addition to all that at the back of the place there was live music where different groups were presented to play this type of music with instruments even used at that time.
To end the post I leave you some of these and other photos and others of a girl who presented an act of juggling with fire to the rhythm of music that called a lot of attention of the public present. So it was a very interesting day and I was very pleased with the event and the organization which was impeccable. Without further ado, I leave you some gifs for you to enjoy in addition to the photos. A big hug to all of you.
