Hello friends and travelers! Greetings to all the #Haveyoubeenhere community today I want to share with you about a place that I visited unexpectedly but that generated a lot of learning and a lot of impact on me, although I already knew very well about the subject it was not the same to witness historical objects in person.

It is a museum called holocaust museum and it is located in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires in the neighborhood of Balvanera, a place that I had no knowledge of but that left me very satisfied to have made the visit.

Hola amigos y viajeros!

It is a museum that houses many aspects related to what happened historically in relation to the abuses perpetrated by the German regime against the Jews during the Second World War. I was impressed by the fact that there are physical objects from that time inside the place.

It is a space filled with a lot of relevant information ranging from used cutlery, magazine covers, movie titles, kitchen objects, among others that I will mention throughout this post.

In the museum there are interactive displays with audio and interviews with people of the time as well as videos showing how sports were used as a diversion and the persecutions perpetrated by the German regime. There are also walls inside the museum that represent what would have been the walls of the ghettos.

Using material and objects donated by survivors you can find from German military helmets, firearms used, to uniforms of both the regime and uniforms of a surviving prisoner, personal suitcases and allusive pictures of Argentine newspapers talking about all this during the 40s.

In addition to all this, I also found information about military personnel who emigrated to Argentina clandestinely under false identities and who lived in the country until they were recognized and deported and then handed over to the justice system of their respective countries.

It was a very interesting and exciting experience, witnessing real objects of these people, information, and studying once again the whole subject of what happened in that tragic time of which many of us are aware.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words but in this case I leave you with more than 30 photographs that speak for themselves.

If you found this post or some of the images I share here interesting, it would be very nice if you could leave me a comment about your opinion.

I like visiting museums and learning the relics and photos of the past. There are so many mysteries and stories we haven't learned about the past and museum is a great place to do it.
thanks for sharing!

It is a place to learn things from the past exactly as you say! Thanks for commenting 😊

A very interesting and enriching museum in terms of knowledge, it would certainly be a place I would visit if I went to Buenos Aires.
