It's a beautiful town, especially how the houses sat sparsely in different heights on the hill. They must have great views from each house.
"Nothing ever tastes as good at home, once the excitement of a vacation has worn off. It's better to drink regional alcohols while on vacation,.."
This is soo true. They never taste the same. I bought 12 tall cans and filled my suitcase with Hefeweizen after trying it in the Tyrolean Alps (you can imagine the reaction of the guy scanning the luggage at the airport haha must have been priceless). I was disappointed when I drank them at home, that I gave some of them away.
The traditional festivity with the farmers all dressed up must be cool to see and experience.
Yeah the views would be amazing from some of those houses.
That beer story is so funny and so true to life. I think that you're in a different mindset when on vacation, you're in the moment and the drinks combine with everything that you're doing and feeling in that moment. It's not something that you can re-create at home with a drink so the beer or liquor doesn't taste the same and isn't as enjoyable.
Just a theory lol
