Le Toan, a village isolated from the outside world

in Worldmappin5 months ago

Hello dear Hivers in Worldmappin community, today I would like to take you to Le Toan, a village isolated from the outside world. Le Toan is a small village of the Xơ Đăng ethnic minority. It is located on a mountain top in the Ngok Linh valley. Le Toan is about 160km from the center of Mang Den town.

To get here, we can drive along provincial road 676. The road to get here is quite difficult because the road is quite tough. Sometimes we have to drive across streams, which is also a challenge on days when the water flow is strong. After about 3.5 hours of driving, I arrived at the Ngok Linh valley.

It's not over yet. From a stream in the valley, I had to walk up a very steep slope to reach the village. I don't know exactly how steep this slope is, but I guess it is definitely more than 45 degrees. The length of the slope is about 2km, but it took me more than 30 minutes to reach the village.

Le Toan is just a small village located on a mountain top, with majestic terraced rice fields behind. It is currently the rice harvest season in Le Toan, so it becomes more beautiful. From Le Toan, we can admire the whole beauty of Ngok Linh valley, with rolling mountains, majestic terraced fields stretching endlessly, and small houses on the mountain top.

The people of Le Toan village have friendly and gentle smiles. They have a simple and happy life. They live almost isolated from the outside world. They have a life that is almost self-sufficient. They make a living mainly by growing rice and raising livestock and poultry. They were very curious when I set foot in the village. I gave them some things and they were very happy. It was an unforgettable experience for me.
