Every July, the vast rice fields in Mang Buk put on the golden coat of ripe rice. This is the time that tourists should not miss to admire the beauty of nature, villages, and rice fields here.
Mang Buk is a large commune located in the north of Kon Plong district, and about 50km from Mang Den town center. Although Mang Buk has a very large area, most of its area is mountains and forests. Mang Buk is the residence of mainly the Xo Dang ethnic minority people. They established small villages scattered along rivers, nestled between valleys, and on the steppes. The road to Mang But is quite difficult, so even though the distance to the town center is about 50km, it usually takes me nearly 2 hours to drive. Currently there is only one road leading here, provincial road 676.
The villagers here live mainly by growing rice and raising cattle. Thanks to the flat terrain and favorable climate, they cultivate vast rice fields. These rice fields are located along the legendary Dak Bla River and are often nestled between mountain ranges, creating a beautiful picture.
When visiting Mang Buk at this time, you not only have the opportunity to admire the picturesque beauty of the ripe rice fields, but you also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant rice harvesting atmosphere of the villagers. The villagers here work in the form of labor exchange. This means they will gather in groups to harvest rice together from one field to another. And another interesting thing is that all family members from the elderly to children participate in this work.
Living in a remote place, most of the work here is done by hand using rudimentary tools. This causes villagers to take more time and effort to complete the work. However, they don't need to rush, right? On the other hand, they make villagers appreciate every grain of rice they produce. That's why they always celebrate new rice after harvesting to thank the gods for giving them a good harvest.
I have truly learned a lot from their communal lifestyle, and I hope you will too. I hope you like this post and find it useful, and have a nice day.

God's bountiful gift of a good harvest, the farmer did marvelously. As a farmer's son, I am very proud to see such beautiful photography. Real and perfect, we also in Indonesia do the same thing when harvesting.
Thank you very much for your visit, so I think we share a lot in common.

You are most welcome and you deserve those compliment. Indeed you are very lucky to live in that beautiful place. Stay safe 💗
Excellent photographic shots of this beautiful place, such as these rice planting fields. The work is visualized where they work in communes, and what catches my attention the most is that they work, it is synchronized, and at the same time they do it with their own family members. Nice work. Greetings.
Thank you very much for your visit. Actually, what you said is what I learned from them. Their sense of community is really high, they together do a lot of things such as working, meeting, playing sports, dancing, etc.
Wow! This aerial view of the Rice fields are so beautiful, so orderly. Nature is the best.

Astounding photography, as always. Love those intimate shots with the rice.
What camera setup do you have?
Thank you very much for your visit. I am happy that you like the photos. Actually I have a Sony, a canon and a drone.
Nice! I love the drone shots, so colorful. Was it the Sony you used for those actions shots with the rice? My friend has a Sony and it does such a nice job with subject focusing and isolating.
