Hello hello my beautiful community, how are you? It's been a long time since I've been here sharing content with you about my fun and beautiful trips 💜 today I bring a super special one from a trip I took with my family and I really enjoyed it because it consisted of visiting a lagoon which involved taking a trail and I love that type of physical activities 🚶♀️🌳 without further ado I will start this wonder.
Hola hola mi bonita comunidad ¿como están? Mucho tiempo sin estar por acá compartiendo contenido con ustedes de mis viajes divertidos y hermosos 💜 el día de hoy traigo uno super especial de un viaje que realicé en familia y disfrute muchísimo porque consistía en visitar una laguna lo cual implicaba realizar un sendero y amo ese tipo de actividades físicas 🚶♀️🌳 sin más que decir daré inicio a esta maravilla.
Laguna de Guatavita is a lake in Colombia located in the western mountain range within the municipality of Sesquile in the department of Cudinamarca, 75 km from Bogotá, it is at an altitude of 3100 meters above sea level with a temperature of 5 to 11 degrees Celsius. It consists of a perfectly circular mountain depression 430 meters in diameter and 25 meters deep, it is surrounded by encenillo forests, which is a tree that occurs in the Andes of Colombia and Venezuela at heights of 2,400 meters above sea level, being a specific algae responsible for its greenish color.
Laguna de Guatavita es un lago en Colombia ubicándose en la cordillera occidental dentro del municipio de Sesquile en el departamento de Cudinamarca a 75 km de Bogotá, esta a una altitud de 3100 msnm con una temperatura de 5 a 11 grados centigrados, consta con una depresión montañosa de forma perfectamente circular de 430 metros de diámetro y 25 metros de profundidad, esta rodeada de bosques de encenillos lo cual es un árbol que se da en los andes de Colombia y Venezuela en alturas de 2400 msnm en adelante siendo un alga en específico la responsable de su color verdoso.
To get to the lagoon you must follow a 2 km path on said path you are always guided by a tour guide who provides his services there also to be able to enter this wonderful place the entrance has a cost of 18,000 COP which is equivalent to 4.6 $ The fauna in this place is very scarce because there are quite a few visitors, yet we can find foxes, rats and certainly mosquitoes aplenty. As for the flora, we find flytraps and frailejones which also occur at altitudes of 2000 meters above sea level.
Para llegar a la laguna se debe realizar un sendero de 2 km en dicho sendero siempre estas guiado por un guía de turismo que presta sus servicios ahí también para poder ingresar a este maravilloso lugar la entrada tiene un costo de 18.000 COP que es equivalente a 4.6$ la fauna en este lugar es muy escasa debido hay que hay contate visitantes aún así podemos encontrar zorros, ratos y sin duda zancudos por montón, en cuanto a la flora encontramos atrapamoscas y frailejones los cuales se dan también en altitudes de 2000 msnm en adelante.
This lagoon was one of the sacred ones for the Muiscas since there they performed the investiture ritual of the new Zipa (Supreme Ruler) to whom the title of nobility was granted, he went on a raft of reeds decorated, his body was completely covered with gold powder, he carried with him large quantities of gold and emeralds to offer to the gods, he was accompanied by 4 chiefs. When said raft reached the center of the lagoon, the inhabitants of the town threw it into the shores of lagoon gold and precious stones.
Esta laguna era una de las sagradas para los Muiscas ya que ahí realizaban el ritual de investidura del nuevo Zipa (Gobernante Supremo) al cual se le otorgaba el título de nobleza, este iba en una balsa de juncos adornada, tenía su cuerpo cubierto con oro en polvo en su totalidad, llevaba consigo grandes cantidades de oro y esmeraldas para ofrecer a los dioses, este iba acompañado por 4 caciques al llegar dicha balsa al centro de la laguna los habitantes del pueblo arrojaban a las orillas de laguna oro y piedras preciosas.
It is precisely in this lagoon that the origins of the legend of El Dorado (legendary city of gold located in the territory of the former viceroyalty of New Granada, an area where there are abundant gold mines) lie. On different occasions there were several attempts to drain the lagoon to find its hidden treasures thus obtaining several pieces of gold.
To this day, these gold offerings remain within this lagoon but their exploitation is not permitted as before. Now it is safe, I can say that I enjoyed this visit in its entirety, I loved every space of it and the beautiful landscape that it offered to my family. and I very honestly wish to be able to visit it in some not distant future.
Justamente en esta laguna es que radica los orígenes de la leyenda del Dorado (ciudad de oro legendaria ubicada en el territorio del antiguo virreinato de Nueva Granada zona donde existen abundantes minas de oro, en diferentes ocasiones hubo varios intentos de drenar la Laguna para hallar sus tesoros ocultos obteniendo así varias piezas de oro.
Hasta la actualidad dentro de esta laguna quedan dichas ofrendas de oro pero no está permitido su explotación como antes ahora cuenta con seguridad, puedo decir que disfrute está visita en su totalidad ame cada espacio de ella y el hermoso paisaje que me ofreció a mi familia y a mí y muy honestamente deseo poder visitarlo en algún futuro no lejano.
