Hi guys!
This weekend a decide to give a break at work and visit a special Jurassic Park
Dino Park, Lourinhã, Portugal
Lourinhã is a municipality 70km north of Lisbon and one of richest Jurassic remains and dinosaurs centers in world, where was discovered a nest with more than 100 dinosaur eggs, fossils of bones from various dinosaurs, specialy from the Torvosaurus, the largest European carnivore.
With this discoveries was installed the Dino Park, the largest thematic park in Portugal with 180 full-scale models of dinosaurs, dinosaur fossils and a live lab with a fossil preparation laboratory.
Let´s take a tour with the photos I took
After entering we can find a big hall where we can see some fossil and bone replicas
Do you know this guy? No, It's not the T-Rex. This is a Torvosaurus
Torvosaurus teeths
We leave the big hall and go outside, there are lots of shadows, places to take a break and rest, drink or eat a snak.
Let's see the big dinosaurs and the various trails!
First we visit the new trail, opened this year 2023, The Cenozoic – Ice Age trail
This is the non dinosaur trail, we can found animals like Megaloceros, Woolly Mammoth, Mastodon, Smilodon or Glyptodon, this trail makes sense because bones and fossils of this animals was also found in Lourinhã.
From here let's dive in the Jurassic field
The fellow Braquiossauro, about 21 meters long
Sea Monsters
Xiphactinus
The terrible ones
The big boy T-Rex
The small one but terrific Velociraptor
Spinosaurus, the longest terrestrial carnivore
The exotic ones
Triceratops
Other small animals
In case you're a dinosaur fan and have opportunity to visit Portugal here is the link to the Park Site https://www.dinoparque.pt/en/ and all the info you need to get there.
In the center of the Lourinhã village you can also find the Dinosaur Museum https://museulourinha.org/ where you can see the originals of some replicas found in the Dino Park.

Wow interesting! This is one of my dream to visit a dino place. It makes me sad why dinosaurs had become extinct like what would life feels like if they didn't vanish.
Thanks! If they didn't become extinct maybe we didn't exist, don't know.. :)
So true..like it's impossible to think they would become extinct if they are scattered across the world.
We had a mini Jurassic Park in Ireland belonging to a hotel, it wasn't as good as this though 😬😂🦖
This one is huge 😉 and well documented and scientific
A great adventure for dinosaur lovers, the replicas look amazing, my son would be happy in that park watching each trail.
It's an amazing park for kids! If you can don't miss it.
Wow, this museum looks to be quite interesting. I love museums. Here in Portugal, admission to museums will be free on weekends, which is great for visiting the ones I haven't been to yet. Thanks for sharing with us ☺️
You're most welcome :)
Very good adventure
Yeah 👍
