Reaching the Mount Tampa peak - 960 meters altitude
After crossing the most dangerous and stressful part from the closed forest of the bear reserve that I showed you in the Part 1 of the Day 2 of this Leaving All Behind series, I reach open ground and the top of Mount Tampa at 960 meters altitude, from where you can see the whole of the city of Brasov in its various viewpoints aswell as the Carpathians.
YouTube Short of the first viewpoint, a small wooden platform in the side of a steep slope:
Right at this moment, when I arrived to this viewpoint, I lived a moment that arose completely spontaneously, since after all the way up and seeing the views of the city and the horizon, I not only remembered the long bus trip to here but also the whole metaphoric comparison with the "trip of my life" and the steps that led me to here, after overcoming plenty of obstacles, barriers, loneliness, sickness and, especially, a bad financial run that came from around the year 2018.
YouTube Video of Dresden dancing, singing and shouting in an eye-watering moment he had when reached the viewpoint:
The song that you can hear in the background of this video is "Mira cómo vuelo" by Miss Cafeína, and is being played from my smartphone at the same moments of the video.
You can play the original YouTube clip here:
(Still getting emotional when hearing at this song and reminding moments while writing this article).
However, life takes many turns, and with hard work, dedication, and blind self-belief, anything is possible.
Never throw in the towel and do as I did in this video: Shout out loud and dance!
In the main video of this article I arrive to the third viewpoint (after the altitude sign), the main one that is right next to the big "Hollywood" letters of Brasov that rest on the slope of Mount Tampa and that are visible from any point in the city if you look up at the mount.
In said video you'll see me chatting jokingly about not having offended "Mother Bear", having paid tribute to the forest as a symbol of respect for it and that's why I survived the forest.
(And the truth is that I did it that, since I spent some moments kneeled in the middle of the forest and touching the soil, trying to share my respectful vibes and my presence with the forest and its inhabitants, including "Mother Bear").
This place is where a photographer is usually positioned to take the photos that he then sells to tourists interested in them.
As the hiking route was relatively short for what I'm accostumed and my batteries were full yet, I decided to finish the route jogging back to the city for breakfast.
YouTube Video jogging back to the city for breakfast:
A section of the way back was much less steep and with dry terrain, which made it easier to grip.
The people I passed on the way back applauded me when they saw me running, I suppose that encouraging me so I returned the compliment by greeting and thanking them in Romanian language.
In the next article we will visit two places with lot of History behind: the Dracula's castle and another fortress nested in the peak of mount, as well as showing you some more places of Brasov town and my last time spent there.
