Let's explore Benguet and know where is the best place to visit and what are the products that they can offer to every traveller.
I and my mom visited the booth of adivay last November 2023 and they were really presentable and very unique. Every Adivay, a festivity of the province of Benguet, they have this contest wherein they choose the best creative and best booth. Every municipality of Benguet is mandated to join and they have to showcase the best in their own municipality. It's being held at Wangal, Stockfarm, La Trinidad Benguet. I will be showing each booth with their own description of the place and it's up to you to choose where to visit in the future.
In the Philippines' province of Benguet, Sablan—officially known as the Municipality of Sablan—is a fifth-class municipality known for producing the tastiest Hawaiian pineapple and the best bananas. Other products would be coffee, rice and other fruit trees.
They have a tag line as "Fruity Sablan' wherein they showcased their multiple fruits in their landscapes.
Second would be our very own municipality which is La Trinidad. It is a first class municipality and is called the Salad Bowl of the Philippines and the Strawberry Capital of the Philippines. It's main product is Strawberry. Tourist spots in this place would be Strawberry farm, Mt. Kalugong,Mt. Jumbo and multipple Caffe with it's nature.
Third would be Tublay. It is a country-side agri-eco-tourism haven, home of God-loving, industrious, and resilient people.
Fourth would be Mankayan which is also a first class municipality of Benguet. Their booth has this huge gong which made it more unique compared to other booths. In Mankayan it is called Bossom of Gold and Copper
Fifth would be Kapangan which is the Grand March Capital of the Philippines. They consider this place as the home of beautiful and handsome people of Benguet. Their booth was also unique and full of vegetable instead of flowers. Their main products were root crops such as ube, camote and they also have fruit trees like banana citrus avocado and many more.
Sixth would be Kibungan, a fourth class municipality of Benguet. It is the town whose distinctive mountains are frequently confused for those in Switzerland. Numerous sitios and even barangays are divided and isolated by deep ravines and cliffs. While there are a few plateaus, hills, and minor valleys in the area, Kibungan is primarily a hilly region.
Seventh would be Itogon which is a first class municipality. Their main source of income would be mining. They also have pool areas for swimming and have natural hot water for their pool areas.
Eight would be Kabayan which is a fourth class municipality of Benguet. Their main products are coffee, rice and lumber. The place is also dominated by Ibalois.
Nineth would be Bokod. It is a 4th class municipality in Benguet and known for the Sulfur Spring which is being visited by a lot of tourists. Their products are coffee, vegetable and Tilapia.
Tenth would be Buguias which is a third class municipality in Benguet. It is known for their great harvest of different kinds of vegetables. They are famously known as Vegetable Panorama of the Philippines. Their weather is also very cold and freezing.
Eleventh would be Atok where vegetables grow and blooming cacti are famous. Atok is the one with the oldest stuff. The only drawback is that due to the age of the goods, touching them is forbidden.
Twelve would be Bakun which is the home of god-kabunian. Dominated by kankana-ey living people. Their main product is the all time favorite of Igorots which is "kini-ing", also known as smoked meat.
Thirteenth would be Tuba which is known for Cradle of Nature's Gift. Their popular product would be gabi. it is also called the gateway of Baguio.
These are just simple descriptions and reality would be more magical upon your visit in every place.
