Hello there!
I hope everyone had a great day for Monday! Let's check this unique caffe in the heart of a city.
While exploring Session Road in Baguio City, I and my workmates decided to visit Oh My Gulay which is located at the last floor of La Azotea building, upper session road. It is owned by Eric Oteyza Guia also known as Kidlat Tahimik, a famous artist as a film director, actor and writer in Baguio City. He is a very nationalistic artist that he loves the history of the Philippines. He made it as an inspiration for his arts. He was recognized in 2018 as a National Artist of the Philippines and indeed it's one of the highest recognition for artist. This place was first made as an art gallery until such time that he converted it into a caffe.

As we go up, the sights and scents of nature welcomed us, transported us to a peaceful nature escape. Inside the caffe, sunlight filtered through the leaves and glass windows, which created uneven reflections across antique furnitures and one-of-a-kind arts which also lead to a sense of olden days.
Kidlat Tahimik featured so many antique arts like the chairs, table, comfort rooms and the roof used inside. He used regular woods and transformed it into a fine arts.

We enjoyed taking pictures inside with the arts and green scenery all around. I couldn't believe of what we're seeing. In there, their were huge plants which could reach the roof of the building. There was also a pond with live fishes swimming in it. The flooring was so different as well. It was cemented but with arts not the regular flooring with cement. It was very shinny and sturdy. Some parts of the floor were also wooden just like our flooring in our old house. Same with the other decorations, paintings and sculptures were very ancient as well. Sweet reminisce for our past with my colleagues.

We were so tired so we had our favorite part , eating time! We were again amazed with their food menu. Were not done yet with our amazement with the whole place however when the menu came, we couldn't believe that they used the words and names of our Filipino heroes like our Katipuneros. Katipunero heroes are the ones who fought for the freedom of the Filipino people. We couldn't understand so we kept laughing while reading. We asked assistance in ordering and there you go, we had a happy tummy!
See you in the next caffe!
