Getting up early today, warming up the car, preparing food, and waking up the kids. These are all things we should do every day. However, today we have a different agenda. I opened a few tourist attractions to visit last night. I wanted something fresh, not too far from my place, and that was also natural. So, I found a place that we thought was suitable for us to visit.
Mata Ie Hill Side is a tourist spot within seven kilometers of Banda Aceh that offers mountain water rides. This place is quite easily accessible from the city center. It is approximately 40 minutes away from my place. I was interested and chose this place because of some criteria that I set earlier. The reason I chose it is because the weather is a bit hot at the moment. While beach tourism is fun, it seems more appropriate to go to a cool one if it's hot out. It must be very enjoyable for the family to spend the week playing water.
By visiting every corner and facility available, I feel that the scenic natural surroundings and fresh mountain air are what make this place unique. Gradually, all forms of fatigue and routine disappeared and were replaced with an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The cool breeze, the sound of splashing water, and the laughter of children and people energized the spirit. Fresh body and fresh mind. Mata Ie Hill Side fulfills all the ideal criteria as a family recreation spot in Aceh.
It's also a good thing that the road here is narrow and you have to slow down if you pass other vehicles. Why should you? Indirectly, there is no pressure on the gas pedal and people are trying to get ahead of each other. The parking lot is located a bit further away from this place. Private vehicles such as cars and motorbikes can reach this ride in about half an hour. This water attraction presents an advantage in the form of beautiful natural scenery along the way. The natural atmosphere is a sensation in itself that causes this place to be crowded with visitors.
Modernity behind the naturalness of the forest. The title I chose above is not without reason. It seems like that's the sentence that accurately describes the situation here. You will pass the asphalt road on your way to this place. However, you will still see beautiful forests on your right and left. Arriving at the parking area, you will still see some tall trees. This is a sign that the presence of modernity does not always have negative consequences. When you enter the gate, modernity is immediately apparent with the presence of music, a café, and several game facilities. The naturalness of the million is evident in the forests and cliffs surrounding this place, even the sounds of wild animals like Amang (Symphalangus syndactylus) can be heard muttering. A sense of adventure can be enhanced by this, of course.
Based on the photos in this place, you can see that this vehicle has several features similar to those that can be found in many areas. These facilities include two water booms that every few minutes spill tens of liters of water on visitors who are underneath. In addition, there is a spiral-shaped 'water slide' as high as 18 meters and also six swimming pools with varying depths.
In addition to the various water tourism facilities, there are also outdoor recreation facilities suitable for those who love adventure. Outbound trails are available for those who want to enjoy the scenery and adventure of the great outdoors even more. You can try various challenging arenas such as airsoft guns, flying foxes, and ATV circuits.
Due to the abundant water potential here, the owner of this place is going to spend a lot of money on tourism investment because the place is a tourist spot. Geographically, this place is hidden behind a mountain, making Mata Ie close to natural springs. Therefore, the water supply for various water attractions in Mata Ie comes from natural sources. This leaves a deep impression on visitors who come from various districts in Aceh.

We know, most water attractions supply their water with modern technology, but sometimes the water is mixed with several chemicals. This is certainly not healthy for the skin and health. Although the location may seem a little remote, the freshness of the water and the fresh mountain air make this destination an ideal family recreation destination. This is despite its distance from the crowds.
If you have time, come to this place, and see, feel and enjoy as much as you want. The reason for this is because the entrance fee is only 20 thousand rupiahs, and you can enjoy all the facilities. Except for additional rides such as ATP and Flying Fox, you will be charged another fee. But it is not expensive at only 20 thousand rupiahs.

Btw, if after soaking and swimming, you are tired and want to relax while enjoying coffee and other snacks, here are two cafes and cake sellers serving fried bananas, French fries, fried noodles, and others. Isn't it great? So, what are you waiting for? Come here.
Oh, before I forget. I would like to inform you that "Mata Ie" is the local language here, which means Spring Water, and this tourist spot really is as the name suggests. The spring water comes from the mountains and it always soothes your heart and your mind.
