My trip to St. Petersburg - part 1

in Worldmappin3 years ago (edited)

This spring, my mother and I received a wonderful gift from my sister, you could not wish it better. It was an exciting trip to St. Petersburg. We have a lot of pleasant memories after this wonderful trip, so I will share them with you.

We settled in a nice hotel in the center of St. Petersburg. Within walking distance from us were the Kazan Cathedral, the Hermitage, Palace Square and other equally interesting sights.

After arriving in St. Petersburg, we made a route for our excursions and visits to places of interest to us. We decided to start with an introductory drive through the most popular sights of St. Petersburg on a panoramic bus tour. Since there are a lot of beautiful places in St. Petersburg, it is simply unrealistic to get around them on foot in a short time.

If you are in this city, I advise you to start getting to know him by bus tour so that you have an idea where you need to go next and what you would like to see. During the excursion, we had several stops so that we could get closer to some of the sights.
My mother's wish was to visit the cruiser Aurora. This cruiser became one of the symbols of the October Revolution in 1917. It is mentioned in many works of art and songs of the Soviet era. We visited the cruiser, sang a song called “Cruiser Aurora”.

Then we went to a Georgian restaurant located not far from our hotel. Our whole family loves Georgian cuisine. This place turned out to be very friendly and lovely, after which we came here for dinner more than once.

The day ended with a walk along the Palace Square. In most of the photographs you see my companion, my mother.

At night, the atmosphere of this wonderful city is especially interesting. There are not so many people on the streets and the light of the lanterns gives the city charm and mystery. The city impressed us the first time. The city impressed us at first glance.
