While in Norfolk, we visited Sandringham House, which is a private country retreat to our King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The estate has been owned by UK's Royal Family since 1862.
The last time I was here, Queen Elizabeth II was still alive. I'm not a royalty fan, but Sandringham is a nice place to visit .... for a price. It was £23 to visit the house and gardens and £13 for just the gardens, plus you have to pay for parking. We stuck to the gardens!
The estate, has its own museum that has a few of the royal motor vehicles on show, including a 1900 Daimler owned by Edward VII and a 1939 Merryweather & Sons fire engine used by the Sandringham Fire Brigade.
Within the estate, there was a good restaurant, cafe, and gift shop that sold souvenirs, although a bit pricey. The grounds were very big with many acres and very well kept. Lots of benches about if you want to stop for a bite to eat or to take in the views.
Overall, it was a visit steeped in history, and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I don't think you have to be a fan of the royal family to enjoy it. It might be good to be given the odd freebie from them, though!

mmm.. I was here a couple of summers ago but I can't remember seeing the cars.. It was a nice day out for me though.
That's a shame. They were in the old coach houses and stable block.
