At this time I want to share my experience with my family traveling to a lake, the name of the lake is kumpe. Kumpe Lake is located in Gununglurah Village, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. This lake is one of the lakes at the foot of Mount Slamet which is hidden and still beautiful. It is called Telaga Kumpe because a plant called kumpe grows around the lake. It is said that this kumpe only grows in Kumpe Lake and in the Kaligua Brebes area.
To get to Telaga Kumpe it takes about an hour from Purwokerto. The access road to Telaga Kumpe is paved. However, it is quite challenging with winding, rather narrow, sharp turns and uphill roads. Make sure the vehicle used is ready for such terrain.
However, the challenging journey pays off with views that are still very natural. Very shady trees, clear water, and fresh air. The water in Telaga Kumpe is so clear that the fish that live in it can be seen. The trees around him were reflected to the surface of the lake. Really spoil the eye, reconcile the soul.
Tourists can ride the canoe with a rental fee of Rp. 5000.00 per person, visitors can rent a canoe and paddle around the lake. There are small and large canoes provided. The time for renting the sampan is also not limited, as long as there are not too many visitors. The entrance fee for Telaga Kumpe is also cheap, only 5,000 rupiah per person. Telaga Kumpe is suitable for quality time with your partner, taking pre-wedding photos, or just wanting to unwind with friends.
If you are afraid of boarding a canoe, tourists can enjoy the view of the lake from the side. There is a bridge that can be used as a place to take selfies. In addition, there are also several gazebos to sit back and stalls that provide food. Don't forget to order mendoan with hot tea or coffee. The combination of food fits perfectly with the cool air around Telaga Kumpe.
