Our holiday in Copenhagen: Saturday

in Worldmappin3 years ago
When I first looked for things to do I Copenhagen, I found a Zoo in Fredriksberg. We was thinking that it would be fun, and we luckily got time to do it on Saturday. I am so happy that we did it, because it was so many animals! We thought the Zoo wouldn't be big so we thought we didn't needed more than two hours, but if we could chose different, I think we would be there 4 hours, or maybe almost a whole day!

We started off the day with some breakfast. But when we first ordered a hotel, we was really looking forward for the buffet at the breakfast in the hotel. As you maybe have read, we really love good meals! But, our hotel didn't have so much to chose from, so we went to an another hotel with a bigger selection. (The hotel we slept on are going to go back to a buffet the next week!)

It kind of seem like Copenhagen have a focus on not waste a lot of food, because it wasn't that much food to chose from at the other hotel than we have experienced earlier on our trips. Maybe it's the aftermath of korona? But at least the breakfast was good!

It may seem like I didn't eat a lot, but because I don't want to waste any food, I supply myself with food several times

We went to the Zoo after breakfast!

I was really looking forward to see the lions, giraffes and the bears. I haven't been at such a big Zoo before, and never seen the most exotic animals.

I can't show every animal, because it was so many! But here are some of them. There was placed claw wending machines (or claw crane?) a few places around the Zoo, and I have GREAT experience with these. It's actually not a joke. I loved them when I was young, but I never won back then. BUT, the first time I won was at a bowling hall with @pusen 3-4 years ago (I still got the rabbit I won by my bed, haha). I don't think I have been so excited in all my life to try it out again.

@Pusen wanted to pay for it too, and that made it so much fun when I won. I felt sooo lucky and excited once again (Emma 11 years old, haha). BUT, my boyfriend told me afterwards that because it was a place for children, you always win on them. You can't lose (because that would make parents spend more than planned). I felt like a child when he told me. Haha!

Sadly did I only film when @pusen won a giraffe at an another wending machine.

Forever young, right?

This map is from the Zoo. As you can see it is A LOT! We should have googled it before we left there, because then we would know that we needed more than two hours!

But here are some of the animals:

The Kengeroos are enjoying the sun. These ones was quite small. I have seen some videos of Kangeros that are huge and so much muscles, but these was cute compared.

Some cute birds that we saw in the rainforest at the Zoo.

The elephants had a lot of space. The biggest of them all. I kind of felt that some animals didn't have much space. But they was building a lot at the Zoo when we was there, so maybe some animals have bigger space coming soon?

Some other pretty birds.

I loved to se a Zebra. First time in my life!

When we was looking at these, a little boy said "OMG its Timon!! But where is Pumbaa?"

Look how cute! There was three pandas, but pandas liked to be alone, so they was separated.

I really loved the giraffes. They look so amazing!

The Lions was amazing too. We did see them play at the end of the visit, and they looked really happy.

I need to comment that we saw some animals that we know didn't had it well at the Zoo.

I got so sad when I saw the rhinos for example. I couldn't take a picture, because it looked so sad. I really think that most of the animals had big enough space and did enjoy being in at the Zoo, but some of them should have bigger space they could walk on.

When we came back from the Zoo, we needed something small to eat.

At Tivoli, there was a food hall with a lot to chose from. This was actually the only time we went there, even tho we had plans on go there on Sunday.

We bought ourself a Bao Menu. Beer for my boyfriend and a good fresh mint drink for myself. The drink I got was so good that I was thinking about buying one more. This was bought on Kung Fu in the Food hall.

We did actually sleep a lot this day, so we didn't spent much time doing things like the other days.

We both felt like we didn't got much sleep the last days, so it was really needed.

Because we was so tired, it fitted perfect that we booked a table at a restaurant right by our hotel. Barrel. It's a pasta restaurant with a great wine menu. The pasta was amazing, and the place was small and cozy. So if you want to go here, book a table.

And we of course got Tiramisu to share for dessert.

I really love Tiramisu! And I'm always excited when I see it on the dessert menu. I think I have to make it myself one day, because it doesn't seem hard to make at all. I just need a good occasion to make it.

Since it was a wine bar I had an dry Italian chardonnay for the dinner,

and a glass of champagne to the dessert. I really loved that alcohol was so much cheeper in Copenhagen than it's in Norway. Even the Champagne didn't cost a lot!

We was so tired (we are getting so old, omg) that we ended the day watching Netflix at the hotel room. We bought drinks to enjoy, and it was really great actually. The bar in the Hotel wasn't the best, but even tho the drink wasn't 10/10, it was a nice end of the day.

We started on a new series that was actually really fun!

I loved the concept of it. Murderville! It's a detective series, but the best part is that in every episode there is a new celebrity that are going to solve the case! And the celebrities are just acting as it goes on. They don't know the manuscript to the other detectives.

Enjoying my Aperol Spritz!

Have you ever been to Copenhagen?

I wrote a little bit about Tivoli, and we hoped for it to be open. But it opened in April for the season. But, we had so much other fun things to do, so I don't feel like we missed out on something too.

There was also a few gaming cafes, with a lot of bord games to chose from.

We went there, but we wanted to go and eat a dinner. And we kind of forgot the whole thing. It was located kind of far from our Hotel, and the days was fully packed anyways. It is called Bastard Cafe. I actually told my boyfriend that I wanted to be the first one in our city to start my own game board cafe. Always great to be first, right? 🤗

No but really, it would be great to have the opportunity to play board games without have to buy them. A nice way to spend time with friends without spending a lot of money too.

We did spend a little bit extra time with the giraffes. They are some amazing animals!

Thank you again for reading!

A new blogpost is coming up soon. It is about our last day in Copenhagen. Our flight didn't go until 5 in the afternoon, so we got some time to take the train to an another part of Copenhagen we haven't been on this trip.

The food you snapped is looking quite delicious. 😄@emuse Really this zoo is quite a large one. No wonder some of the animals had wide spaces. I could see the elephant had one, the cute panda, the ferocious lion etc.

Yes, and there was areas that was under construction too so some of the animals gets even bigger space to be on. A really nice and huge Zoo!

The food in Copenhagen was amazing!

So there are still some under construction? Wow, I bet that zoo is really worth visiting.

I will never forget this zoo! The first time I visited the zoo for my entire life 😂 And saw giraffe and baby elephant, rhinos and Polar bears.

You both look had an amazing time 💜
