Hola a todos! hoy el clima en Sosnowiec estuvo bastante bien para ir a dar un paseo, pues algunos días han sido muy fríos aquí, entonces decidimos aprovecharlo para ir a conocer algún lugar y aunque no teniamos ninguno en mente, aprovechamos de que Pawel tenía que hacer una diligencia en el Centro de Sosnowiec para que yo lo conociera también.
The truth is that I found it a very interesting place with many things to see and to try, so I'll tell you about it while you enjoy the pictures I took while walking around here. The statue or monument you see above is Jan Kiepura was a Polish singer and actor, I found his pose quite funny and I think it certainly gives a touch to this place, it is located in the Centennial Square (which used to be called Patelnia).
La verdad es que me pareció un lugar muy interesante con muchas cosas para ver y para probar, así que les voy contando mientras disfrutan de las fotos que hice mientras caminaba por aquí. La estatua o monumento que ven arriba es Jan Kiepura fue un cantante y actor polaco, su pose me pareció bastante divertida y creo que sin duda le da un toque a este lugar, está ubicada en la Plaza del Centenario (que antes tenía por nombre Patelnia).
Another thing that caught my attention here is that there are several amazing murals in some places, the one you see above is by Jacek Cygan a famous Polish, and the one below (my favorite) I think it is nature, I think that window of the building gives it a nice touch, of course there was also one of the Zaglebie Sosnowiec soccer team and we also saw a beautiful church but it is under renovation, maybe another day I will come back to show you the whole thing.
Otra de las cosas que llamó mi atención aquí es que hay varios murales increíbles en algunos sitios, el que ven arriba es de Jacek Cygan un famoso polaco, y el de abajo (mi favorito) creo que es la naturaleza, pienso que esa ventana del edificio le da un buen toque, por supuesto que también había uno del equipo de fútbol Zaglebie Sosnowiec y también vimos una hermosa iglesia pero está en remodelación, quiza otro día vuelva para mostrarselas completa.
At this point we paused because it was time to run errands, however I wanted to show you what the street we were walking on looked like, and I must confess that for some reason these streets reminded me of Plaza Bolivar in Bogota in Colombia, there were several people walking there as well and many stores.
En este punto hicimos una pausa porque llegó la hora de hacer las diligencias, sin embargo quería mostrarles como era la calle por la que caminabamos, y debo confesar que por alguna razón estas calles me recordaban a la Plaza Bolívar de Bogotá en Colombia, habían varias personas caminando allí también y muchas tiendas.
Also at some entrance we saw some very colorful umbrellas, although there were not many, I found this place beautiful because I love the small but colorful details, plus here there are also more stores and a small fountain with some benches.
También en alguna entrada vimos unas sombrillas muy coloridas, aunque no eran muchas, me pareció hermoso este lugar porque amo los pequeños detalles pero coloridos, además aquí también hay más tiendas y una pequeña fuente con algunas bancas.
And as always, something to eat, we were undecided as there were many delicious things here, even some restaurant but we wanted something to take away and first we entered a bakery (photo on the left) but we thought maybe we wanted something sweeter so we went to another bakery (photo on the right) called Piekarnia, and ordered the dessert you see below that now I do not remember the name, but it is made with poppy seeds and pastry cream, it was really delicious, although it was my first time trying these seeds, I really liked this dessert.
Y como siempre, algo para comer, estabamos indecisos pues habían muchas cosas deliciosas aquí, incluso algún restaurante pero nosotros queriamos algo para llevar y primero entramos a una panadería (foto de la izquierda) pero pensamos que tal vez queríamos algo más dulce así que nos fuimos a otra panadería (foto de la derecha) llamada Piekarnia, y ordenamos el postre que ven abajo que ahora no recuerdo el nombre, pero es hecho con semillas de amapola y crema pastelera, realmente estaba delicioso, aunque era mi primera vez probando estas semillas, este postre me gustó mucho.
Ah in the Centennial Square (where the statue I showed you at the beginning is located), there is also a subway passage and the train station, plus a very striking building with many mirrors and that puts an ad by the name of Timken.
Ah en la Plaza del Centenario (donde está la estatua que les mostré al inicio), también está ubicado un pasaje subterráneo y la estación de tren, además de un edificio muy llamativo con muchos espejos y que pone un aviso de nombre Timken.
More buildings, some painted with various colors and others not so much.
Más edificios, unos pintados con varios colores y otros no tanto.
There were also many sales of beautiful flowers and some pumpkins, as it is soon to be Halloween and also the Day of the Dead.
También habían muchas ventas de hermosas flores y algunas calabazas, ya que pronto es la fiesta de Halloween y también el día de los muertos.
I forgot to show you but there is also a big cinema there and the Sosnowiec Plaza Shopping Center and it is very nice, we spent a few minutes in the latter since we parked in this place but it really went very fast.
Me olvidé de mostrarles pero también hay un grande cine allí y el Centro Comercial Sosnowiec Plaza y es muy lindo, estuvimos unos minutos en este último ya que estacionamos en este lugar pero realmente fue muy rápido.
Me encanta descubrir lugares nuevos, y más los lugares en los que hay muchas cosas para ver, así que sin duda este fue un buen día para mí y espero que les haya gustado tanto como a mí. The murals on the buildings are beautiful and interesting. I like best the mural of the famous Polish, is the shadow mural words? ☺️ And yeah, the one with that nature mural is also beautiful.☺️ I'd love to try walking this place if given the chance.😊
