Hello everyone! I hope you are well! we stayed 2 days in Athens and of course one of the places that we couldn't miss while we were there is the Acropolis, besides there really aren't many places to visit in Athens, but now my recommendation before going to the Acropolis is go with enough energy to climb up there. Pawel and I just had a delicious lunch, so we hit the ground running.
On the way to the acropolis you start to see the ruins and the first thing we saw was the Puerta de Atenea Arqueguetis (the photo below) and to be able to enter there you have to pay some euros. We decided not to enter and only take photos from the outside because later we would pay to enter the Acropolis.
You also see many tourists walking there, because they all want to see the Acropolis and so we followed them although it is not difficult to get there, also sales of some things and also a restaurant before going up to the Acropolis with delicious food which seemed excellent to me, what bad is that the sun was a bit strong but hey, we could handle it.
The first thing we saw was these stairs to go up and see the whole amazing city, and for that you didn't have to pay, some people sat there for a while but we only saw a little, and took a picture and then we followed the path to go up to the Acropolis.
We arrived at the entrance but we needed some tickets, so we went to the ticket office to buy them, the price is 20 euros for each one, although if you are underage or even under 25 you pay less. I was unlucky because just last week I turned 26 haha.
Now we could go in, and before doing so I recommend you go to the bathroom that is right next to the entrance, because you are going to walk there a lot and climb some stairs and you will not want to do it with much desire to go to the bathroom and there is not one upstairs. So, well, now I'll just let you see the spectacular photos I took of the ruins and the ancient buildings that we saw up there and that are full of a lot of history, like the spectacular Parthenon.
Saludos!
We finish the tour and look for the exit to return home. Without a doubt, it was spectacular to enter there, and see all this so full of history that surprised us and surely everyone who goes there too, I hope you liked it as much as we did, and see you in a future post. Cheers!

You are definitely tough enough! Did you go up to the Acropolis in June without a hat and sunglasses? Haha! In any case nice post!
PS: You are a very suitable couple!
