Hallo guys…..have you been here? I am talking about the view along the way. So refreshing! I never expect driving through this way can be so nice and become my inspiration to write.
The weather is friendly. It is not too hot and it is not too cold. It’s chilly, perfect condition to do something outdoor. Our family has spent the night in Gundaling, Berastagi in North Sumatera Indonesia and we decide to come home through alternative road although it is further. A friend said it was beautiful.
My friend is right. Fresh air is everywhere. We don’t need to turn the air conditioner and we open the car window. The wind blows gently because our car moves slowly. This is one of many ways we enjoy the trip, not only on the spot but also on the road.
Wow! Look at that…..a wooden house of the local people. This is unique. I work in a town and this kind of place of living is not common. Some people say that wooden house will be chilly in hot weather and will be warm at cold night. You don’t need air conditioner then. You see the dry tree behind the house? It is because of the hot cloud of the volcano. It made the leaves dry and fall. It looks artistic anyway. Imagine it becomes the picture to be a drawing. Beautiful, isn’t it?
Another unique house! It looks good on Instagram. It is typical of villagers’s house. They make high house with ladders. It is empty under the house. Some of them let it empty, but in my hometown, Bukit Tinggi, it is used for a goats’ cage or chicken coop. I don’t know exactly about this house because I took the picture but I don’t have conversation with the owner. Usually the villagers go for farming at this hours (anyway, I pass by in the morning).
Can you believe it? All the houses are in the same village. They have many kinds and shapes. Most of the villagers are Karonese, one of thousands of tribes in Indonesia. In other post I will tell you about this tribe.
For your information, it is not a tower. It is a place to live of a family. Yeah… a house! The land is so fertile that is so easy to plant. Some of the plants here cannot live in the city with hot weather. So if you want to see it yourself you should come to this village. I don’t realize that I smile to see this until my husband asks me why I look so happy. Man….who wouldn’t be glad to see the picture moreover being there! I ask my husband to drive more slowly so I can enjoy the view longer.
Ah…looking at the mountain! I imagine that it sucks the clouds to make the bright blue sky. I take a deep breath. I feel free oxygen comes into my lungs. I wish I had extra lungs to keep the pure air and take it to the big city. Gosh……I keep making a deep breath and I get real high. Whooaaa….really, no time to sleep. My eyes, my nose, my body are having fun during the trip. If you happen to visit Indonesia, North Sumatera province, Karo district or at least Medan district….let me know. I’ll show you this place.
