In winter, Heikenszand exudes a tranquil charm for those looking for a retreat. The Vacation Park offers comfortable accommodations, including well-equipped chalets and bungalows, making it an ideal spot to gather and enjoy cozy winter days.
We booked a two-week stay here, which includes two bedrooms: one double and one twin bedroom, a living room, a dining area, and a kitchen. Everything here is convenient for a family of three.
Although many perceive Zeeland mainly as a summer vacation destination, it remains a delightful winter getaway.
The area offers a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure, making it ideal for exploring nature walks and the surrounding landscape.
Location and Accessibility
Vacation Park Heinkenszand offers a central Zeeland location with convenient car access and ample parking.
Major Zeeland cities like Goes and Middelburg are a short drive away: Goes is about 10 minutes and Middelburg about 20 minutes. For international travelers, Rotterdam and Den Hague Airport is approximately 1.5 hours away by car.
Zeeland captivates visitors with its striking dikes that stand as impressive barriers against the sea, creating a sense of both safety and adventure. The region boasts stunning, sandy beaches that invite relaxation and exploration, while the vibrant green polders showcase the grace of its reclaimed land, dotted with windmills and waterways.

With fewer tourists, this destination becomes a good choice for families, couples looking for a romantic escape, or solo adventurers in search of meaningful reflection.
Outdoor Encounters
Nature walk is damn so refreshing, it feels so incredible smelling that fresh air! This is where the park's scenic paths provide, what lovely stunning views of the countryside!
You may consider cycling through quiet landscapes, if you are fond of doing workouts, then cycling is a great option I can recommend. Convenient rental bikes are available at the reception, making it easy to start your adventure.
Fishing in Calm Waters is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors and hone your skills while connecting with nature.
The only cons I can say is that not all activities are open on winter holidays, such as their huge outdoor parks and some activities that are limited for kids.
Seasonal Specials for Longer Stays
The park often offers special packages for week-long or extended stays, it is not also expensive when you book during winter months and non-holiday seasons.

Living comfortably at a place other than home serves as a daily reminder of why Zeeland is a beloved destination, holiday homes in Heinkenszand offer an exquisite blend of leisure, pleasant retreat, and a surprising connection to nature.
Discovering a stunning beauty at our doorstep leaves me utterly speechless! The colors are a breathtaking blend of the surreal and the tangible, making it an unforgettable sight for us.
Is it worth coming back? Absolutely!
Would I recommend it? Without a doubt, yes!
Is the price handy? Very! We paid 50 euros per night for all the amenities that we needed.
Would you consider staying here for the long term? No, this is a vacation park, and staying for an additional two months is not advisable. There will be enforcers who check the duration of your stay at the chalet. This means that staying here for an extended period is illegal.
Our overall stay here was great. We would love to return in the summer to experience a variety of family-friendly activities during peak season.
