Good day, Hivers! It's me again, @fevyulous, and I'm back with another story that will help you learn something and at the same time, have fun. Today, I'm sharing my experience at the University of San Carlos Museum, specifically in the Biodiversity Gallery. If you are a history or animals enthusiast, or just curious about things, then, you will definitely love today's blog of mine. So, join me on today's virtual tour at the USC Museum's Biodiversity Gallery, let's get to know and give importance to the flora and fauna of the Philippines and even those from other parts of world. With each step at this gallery, surely, you will not only learn but also feel a sense of pride as a Filipino.

HOW TO GET TO THE USC MUSEUM?

The University of San Carlos Museum is just easy to find. It is located on the ground floor of the USC Downtown Campus at P. Del Rosario St., Cebu City. You can take a bus or taxi and just tell the driver you are going to the USC Downtown Campus.

USC MUSEUM'S BIODIVERSITY GALLERY

When you go inside the USC Museum, the Biodiversity Gallery is the first gallery that you can see. At first sight, you will be amazed by a variety of their displays of well-preserved animals from the Philippines and different parts of the world. We were informed by the museum guide that taking photos with flash is prohibited inside the museum so you won't damage the displays. And I totally understand that because this simple rule helps preserve the beauty of these treasures for future generations.

The moment I stepped inside, my eyes really widened as I saw the collection of well-preserved birds. The birds were so many and they were huge. It seems like these birds were welcoming me into the gallery. Honestly, I feel like I'm in a zoo and I really forgot that I'm in a museum that time. As someone who has never been to a zoo, this was my first time seeing so many huge birds up close, and I must say I was really glad seeing it for the first time.

As I continue to roam around, I was also impressed by the display of butterflies and moths. Here, you can see various butterfly species from different parts of the world with different colors and patterns. Their beauty is unreal, it's unbelievable. Some of these butterflies had vibrant colors like blue, orange, and green, while others had simple but elegant combinations of colors like white and yellow or brown and white. Their wings were like works of art created by God, it left me in awe.

Also, I saw animals like Philippine Tarsier commonly found in Bohol, Philippines (smallest monkey in the world) and the Macaca fascicularis , the type of monkey native to the Philippines. As a Filipino, I felt a sense of pride seeing animals that are native to the Philippines at the USC Museum's Biodiversity Gallery.

Of course, the gallery wouldn't be complete without the beautiful Philippine Eagle, it's commonly know as the "King of Birds" in the Philippines. Seeing it up close, I'm in awe seeing its beauty. The Philippine Eagle looks really good and unique and because of that, I didn't waste my time here, I took lots of pictures. It's amazing that this can be seen in the USC Museum because it is very important for every Filipino to see it, especially the youth, to understand the importance of these treasures.

The beauty of the USC Museum, especially the Biodiversity Gallery, isn't just a spot where you can take lots of pictures and admire its beauty, rather, it's a spot where you can gain immense insights. Before, I only saw pictures and videos of these animals on books and social media, but here, at the USC Museum, I now saw them in person and I feel really deeply connected to them. Every display has a fascinating story to tell and visiting this Biodiversity Gallery reminds us of how important it is to care for these animals.

So, if you're looking for a place to learn and have fun at the same time, visit the USC Museum's Biodiversity Gallery. It's definitely worth visiting. When you go there, you'll be reminded by how beautiful the world is and why it's so important to protect it. Visit the USC Museum's Biodiversity Gallery now and behold the beauty of the world's flora and fauna.

That's all for today's virtual tour, everyone. I'd really appreciate it if you could upvote, comment, and share my blog. Thank you so much, Hivers and have a fabulous day ahead!
