One of the Most Beautiful Spots in the Philippines is found in Bohol. (Part 1)

Good day Hivers! How’s your day? I hope you’re doing fine while reading my blog. Your ordinary girl is back willing to share my experiences as I traveled to Bohol Philippines to witness the beauty of Chocolate Hills which is known to be a tourist destination while visiting the Philippines.
When I started attending the Basic Curriculum Education, each room of the school had a poster of the beautiful spots in the Philippines, and also, during Social Studies subjects, there were quizzes about the beauty spots of the Philippines. So, as Filipino learners, we need to remember the beauty found in our country. But I never thought I could visit the place since I belong to a humble family where our lives were so ordinary. Yet, it was in October 2019 that unexpectedly, I saved money for travel and the colleagues of my husband decided to visit Bohol and I intentionally joined the group.

How did we travel?
One of my husband’s colleagues decided to book a van from our town to the pier in Cebu City where the ship to travel to Bohol was there. Our travel time to Cebu City was 5:00 p.m. I remember I had some work-related tasks before our departure, but I successfully managed the schedule and was able to join the travel. It was dinner time when we arrived at the pier, before we rode the ship, we took first our dinner.

The last time I rode a ship was 2-year-old me and I don’t remember the experience on it. This was my first time riding the ship where my conscious mind was activated. It was my first ship experience using my own money. I enjoyed riding it. I have so many first times during this travel. I learned that you could take a shower inside the ship. It was a fun experience for me.

We arrived at Tagbilaran City, Bohol Philippines early in the morning. As we landed in the land of Bohol, it was a surreal feeling for me. This is it! Welcome to Bohol Island.

The Chocolate Hills Experience
The Chocolate Hills is located in the town of Carmen, Bohol Philippines. It is 55.5 km away from Tagbilaran Bohol. As we arrived at Carmen, Bohol, we automatically went to the observatory area for the Chocolate Hills. When I saw the Chocolate Hills, I was very amazed and the story behind it is true. That Chocolate Hills was described as the chocolate named Hershey Kisses. My husband captured the images of chocolate hills, and I will always be the model.

To sum up my experience of the Chocolate Hills, it was a dream come true for me. I just realized that reaching a dream is not hard if you have focused on achieving it. To travel, we need to build our future first so that we can go to places without the concern of money.
