After having a successful summit climb in the early morning on day 4, we had to head back down to the base 'lohujung' from where we started our trek. Though we had a long way to go, we'll be covering it in two days. So after the summit, we happily ran downwards to our tents. We were so proud of ourselves, and really excited to share back the experience with the people who had really missed joining us on this adventure.
We had our breakfast, packed our bags, unpitched our tents, and got ready to head down to our previous campsites. We were sad as we were on the way back to end our journey soon, but on the other hand, excited to get back and stay at the most beautiful campsite of the trek, Bedni bugyal. So, on the same day as our summit, we climbed down to Bedni bugyal and recalled its beauty. How open, lush green, and colorful it was. The other famous and highest peaks like Nanda Devi and Trishul were also visible through that campsite clearly because of the clear weather on the site that day. ✨
I felt really grateful for the fact of getting to experience these beautiful places, the treks, and most importantly the rough yet calm journey you go through during these days. Where away from the city crowds, chaos, and busy lives you are in the mountains selflessly available for people you are around either a friend or a stranger. You get to meet those people on your way, the people of small villages and hamlets, the children who are happy and satisfied with their own small things and own little world yet complete life.

So on the next day, we had to leave for the base village, all the way down from the meadows. Walking down is completely different from the climbing we did slowly and intermittently. We stopped walking down through the trails and rather slid down off-trail. Off-trails were really steep and slippery due to the rain, hence some of us were really enjoying sliding directly through the slopes and some were having trouble getting a grip and were frustrated with falling.
After a few hours, we reached our base camps, we stayed in cemented rooms that day, with a beautiful beautiful view, had our victory party at night, and headed home the next morning. 🥳
