Haha I thought that only in Greece passengers were clapping in the plane! When I was a child every landing was accompanied with loud clapping from all over the aircraft and they still do it sometimes, especially when the landing is difficult!
What to say about that prison, one of the kind :)
Nobody claps these days in US. I have seen clapping only in Vegas landing and in Hawaii. I guess in both cases people were happy :)
