Travelling to a foreign country might be among the best experiences someone can have but equally, we should expect this kind of situations which might seem weird to us. At the same time, it's perfectly normal for the locals of the specific area. In the end, all this kind of experiences, good and bad, turn us in storytellers so I always try to take only the best part from every journey :)

That's the way it is. I remember as a child how odd it was to me that Americans were so amazed by any detail in the customs of the place where I grew up, the Amazon, for me it seemed a bit exaggerated so much interest because it was very normal in my day to day life what they were so curious about.
But I can understand what you mean and that is the beauty of exploring and understanding that the world is so wide that we all have a place in it. So as you say, we should treasure the beauty of those experiences. Thanks for stopping by :)
