Hello Hivers! it's me again @gelultimate back with my 2nd blog of this week, hope you're doing good today, let me bring you to another resort in Davao particulary in Samal Island, which I really enjoyed my stay there last summer on July 2023. Enjoy reading my blog.
When I reached Canibad Beach, it felt like I was in a new world. The calm, blue-green water and the tall rocks looked so natural and untouched. The air was clean, and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks was peaceful. I knew right away this place would be special to me.
The Road to Canibad
Getting to Canibad felt like a small adventure in itself. The road twisted and turned, surrounded by green trees and glimpses of the sea. It made me feel excited for what was waiting ahead. When I finally arrived and saw the beach for the first time, I realized the journey was worth every minute.
Exploring the Crystal Waters
The water at Canibad is so clear that you can see the sand beneath even when you're standing in waist-deep water. I couldn’t resist taking a dip. Swimming here felt amazing. The water was warm and calm, perfect for just floating and relaxing. I also noticed small fish swimming near the shore. It made me realize how alive this place is.
Kayaking Along the Coast
One of the best things I did together with my relatives here was kayaking. We rented a kayak and paddled along the coast. The view from the water was even better than from the shore. I could see the cliffs up close, covered in green trees. The quietness of the sea and the rhythm of paddling made me feel at peace.
The Rocky Shoreline
The beach at Canibad isn’t like most sandy beaches. It has rocks and pebbles that add to its charm. I spent some time walking along the shoreline, looking for unique stones and shells. The rocks also make the water look even clearer. You can sit on the bigger rocks and just watch the waves gently crash against them.
Hidden Coves
As I explored more, I found small coves and corners of the beach that felt private and secret. These spots are perfect if you want some quiet time. I sat there for a while, listening to the waves and enjoying the view. It felt like I had the whole beach to myself.
Perfect Spot for Relaxation
What I loved most about Canibad was how relaxing it was. There were no big crowds or loud noises, just the sound of nature. I spent hours just sitting by the water, feeling the breeze and soaking in the calmness. It’s the kind of place where you can forget about everything else.
Friendly Locals
During my visit, I met a few locals who were very friendly. They told me about the best spots to explore and even shared some stories about Canibad. Talking to them made me appreciate the place even more.
A Place for Adventure and Peace
Canibad is a mix of adventure and peace. You can climb cliffs, kayak, or swim if you’re feeling active. But if you just want to relax, it’s perfect for that too. It’s a place where you can connect with nature and yourself.
How to get there
Getting to Canibad Beach requires a bit of effort, but it's worth every moment. If you're coming from Davao City, head to Sasa Wharf and take a ferry to Samal Island. Once on the island, you can hire a motorcycle or a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Canibad. The ride takes around 30-45 minutes and goes through scenic roads lined with lush greenery.
The last stretch of the journey includes a steep trail leading down to the beach. While it might seem challenging, it adds a sense of adventure to your trip. Be prepared for a short hike, but trust me, the view at the end is worth it. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring enough water for the trek.
Why You Should Visit Canibad
If you’re looking for a place that’s beautiful and peaceful, Canibad is perfect. It’s not like the busy beaches you see everywhere. Here, you can enjoy nature in its simplest form. It’s a place where you can truly relax and feel alive.
Davao City is one of my favorites now because of its many resorts and they're very beautiful and awesome resorts
