TRAVEL BLOG 2021 - BORACAY: The White Beach in the Philippines (PART 1)
Boracay is a resort island located in the Western Visayan region of the Philippines. It is famous for its fine white sands, lush tropic scenery, water activities and great nightlife experience. It has also been chosen as one of the World's Best Island Beaches in 2020.
Let me share to you guys how our vacation went and what are the things you must do when visiting the island.
Since the community quarantine restrictions loosened up and the implementation of COVID19 vaccine, we were able to finally visit the restored Boracay Island.
To get there, you must first secure all the documents needed (if the point of origin is Manila): (Please note that we are all fully vaccinated)
1. Flight Booking
We booked a roundtrip flight via Cebu Pacific Air.
2. Accredited Accommodation
We had a 4 days and 3 nights accommodation (with breakfast ) at Henann Garden Resort which is at Station 2 and just a short walk away from the island's beach.
3. Accomplish the Online Health Declaration Form
This can be found at www.touristboracay.com and fill out the form. Then, take a screenshot after submitting the form.
4. Submit a copy of the requirements via email
Send it to [email protected] with a subject OHDC-Family Name-First Name-Date of Flight
- Flight Booking Confirmation
- Hotel Booking Confirmation
- Screenshot of Online Health Declaration Form
- Vaccinate Certificate
- Valid ID
Wait for the reply from the validator to get the Tourist QR Code which is needed all throughout your trip. Once received, pack your bags!!!!
When we arrived at the Caticlan Airport, we were picked up by our booked tourist guide. It took us approximately 30 minutes to reach the island and we immediately checked in at our hotel.
Because we were all excited, we had our late lunch at a restaurant in front of the beach and waited for the sunset.
And since we are all tired, we decided to have our activities the next day.
DAY 2
Woke up early (kind of hard to leave the bed as early as 5am) to have breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.
After breakfast, we prepared for our scheduled activities like island hopping, parasailing, and snorkeling.
Wooooow, look at that white beach backed by palm trees!!
I am really afraid of heights but YOLO, I did it! My boyfriend and I parasailed, and believe me...it was all worth it.
Right after our lunch, I just took a photo of the Kawa Bath because I think it's quite boring to do it.
Then, we proceeded to Puka Beach and enjoyed the pristine water with the waves splashing on our bodies. It was enjoyable to see the horizon where the sky meets the sea. We spent the rest of the afternoon staying at the Puka Beach and left at sunset.
If you like to feel the ocean breeze during sunset, you can also rent a sailboat.
When we returned to our hotel, we just had a night swimming at the pool before dinner and went to our separate rooms and called it a day.
