Casino Peak The Chocolate Hills Of Cebu

in Worldmappin5 years ago (edited)

In today's blog, I will show you the second popular Peak my hometown has which is known as "Casino Peak or Lugsangan Peak". Actually my place still has many peaks which are not yet discovered. Possibly there are 5-10 peaks in total. This was the picked choice we wanted to visit with my family when I had my vacation in the Philippines after long years abroad. Before this, we went to Aguinid falls in Samboan then decided to have a round road trip. It's like from my hometown straight to south then back again to my place. While on our way to the Casino Peak, the roads were not that good. It was a rocky road. I was just praying at that time that our vehicle can survive because if not, I don't know where we will stay since shops or stores aren't accessible or available.

When we reached our destination, the representative welcomed us. They were easy to deal with. The entrance fee per adult is only 20 Philippine peso. Now you wonder why they are asking for fees aside for their minimum salary, they used it too for maintaining the beauty and environment of the peak. I highly advise that if you have the interest to go here, you should always prepare for the necessary stuff in order for you to feel more comfortable. It took me 15 minutes before I reached the top. Honestly, it was tricky to walk up high because there are some plants that are itchy and irritating. I almost quit in the middle but I realize, what's the point of going there?

I am so proud of myself because I successfully made it. Out of twelve persons but only the seven of us who were able to pass it through. I can imagine to myself that the peak brought me to heaven. As they said, only 5 pesos fare needed then I can reach the sky. It was funny but it is true. The clear white clouds were unbelievable. I was able to see the other popular peak which is Osmena Peak. The islands were seen too and I can see the other province of Moalboal which was common in Sardines run and other beautiful white beaches. It was nice there to spend the summer vacation or holidays. I am planning for my second visit there soon.

Your legs will feel shaky because a single mistake can cause your death. It is not an easy experience when you really wanted to have good shots on that place. While taking care of your camera you have to be double careful for yourself too for safety. The reaching point is not good for camping or staying at night since the flat pace is not enough to accommodate people or set tents up there not like in Kandungaw Peak which is good for a staycation because they have huts or another small wooden house for their tourists who have plans to stay overnight.

I like the good intentions of my family because aside from going to expensive restaurants or resorts they chose to do this challenging experience because they wanted to release sweat and a calming place. It's been a year I haven't back there. I am excited about the next visit if there are changes or improvement in the peak and do fun things which I haven't do before.
Keep updated on my posts because I am uploading or posting more travel blogs about my place.

Looks very narrow and steep - no wonder your legs were shaking... :D

Yes, it is @ackhoo. it was a breathtaking more likely on the top. Despite the legs suffered, but it was beyond grateful to have this kind of experience. One of the best momentum to remember. A worthwhile one.

Wow what a photography, view is mesmerizing. I loved the picture of back handheld one on the top of cliff. It's like professional.
Keep flourishing.

Good to hear that you were mesmerized with the photos shown in my post. Actually the photo that you like is my favorite one. It will be easier if you will use Gopro of any models because it's handy and less hassle. It captures also in wider space.

Thanks for the tip. Good luck for future endeavors.Would love to see your photographs in upcoming posts.

Awesome photography! The whole mountain ridge can be seen from our home but I wouldn't know which one is Casino Peak because it's too far. Cebu is really beautiful.

Hello Good evening, Which part of Cebu are you in? That's really difficult to identify which peak is it since we have here probably a total of 5-10 peaks but the popular one is the Osmena peak, I hope you are familiar with that too.

Exactly, it is hard to spot the peaks as there are many. I live in Moalboal along the coast of Badian Bay. I frequently visit Osmena (whenever we have guests) but have never been to Casino.

I hope you can try one day visiting Casino Peak it is way more challenging compared to Osmena peak. Wow! from Moalboal diay ka Ma'am. Daghan pod baya kaayo mo diha mga nindot na spots.

Love your shots bro! It's so cool that your father was able to handle all the climbing. Thanks for sharing this with us and have a great day!

Yes Bro! one good thing is my father is open for any challenging adventure so I am beyond thankful because in every travel I have he is there too which creates a great bond.

That's really great to hear that your dad is active during adventures. Happy Father's day to him! Enjoy every moment with him :)

One of the peaks to climb. I've been to Osmeña Peak and Kandungaw Peak, but I haven't been back in that area for almost two years. I'll definitely include this in my itinerary once I'm allowed to travel again.

By the way, your shots are surreal as hell! Superb editing skills!

I believe in my own perspective of view that every peak creates its own story. I cannot wait to know your future experience in Casino Peak for us to keep promoting Cebu as well in this community. This is a worthy journey to include in your bucket list. I am overwhelmed with your good compliments regarding my post. It's really soothing to hear like this kind of comment. Thank you and continue inspiring others bro!

Yes! I'm so happy to have someone from Cebu who keeps on promoting what we have here. I bet there are a lot of people who didn't hear about Cebu before our posts. So, let's continue to promote Cebu to the international community. That has been one of my goals why I have been travel blogging for almost 3 years now. And I believe I can't do it alone. More people like you are needed in this space. Cebu was once the liveliest location in Steem, but people have moved on. I hope we can bring back the community with a new wave of content creators.

By the way, we need to dedicated content creators who are after quality and honing their craft, not just a bunch who are after monetary rewards. Let's keep buzzing around. We're getting the recognition lately. Let's keep it up! Stay safe.

It is a great privilege in my part to showcase what our city has because every individual deserves to discover why Cebu has always been on top lists to visit and keep wondering people what's behind with those great photos. I am beholden to you as well for one of those best ones who never get tired of making blogs not just specifically in Cebu, generally the Philippines too. I totally agree with you, it is not just about the rewards but it is to do something with great dedication and passion. Through this, we will see which is more valuable and what we up to when it comes to expanding knowledge in this community. This is a place to enhance our communication skills and strong points. Cheers Bro! and let's keep kicking for whatever ups and downs we will face here. Godspeed and have a great Friday night.

Wow you keep pushing your boundaries
Love the panorama shot, really appreciate the beauty of the nature.

Thank you bro for the unending support sa mga posts ko lalo na sa travel blogs.
