Kackar mountains, which are called also Turkish Switzerland or Turkish Alps, are wild mountains without tourist huts or other tourist achievements (including paths sometimes 😃) and it's almost 4 thousand meters high. And also mountains with really unstable weather and really hard terrain.
Despite all disadvantages I was really looking forward to go there and I must say it was pure beauty. I met another great people here like Sinan and his friend who took me last 3 kilometres to Yukari Kavrun and I met them also few days later, owner of pension in Yukari Kavrun and owner of pension in Olgunlar and his sons or Iranian couple who I will probably meet in Iran 🙂
At the beginning it was really foggy and I can't see anything but I believed and when I got up to 3 000 metres, clouds disappeared and I saw tops of the mountains protruding from inversion sea.
The grand finale was night at beautiful lake Deniz and ascent to highest mountain Kackar. During ascent became that foggy that I lost myself and spent about 45 minutes looking for a path and when I told myself that I'm giving it up I found footsteps in the snow, after few minutes fog disappeared and I made it to the summit 🙂
And this passing, instead all the beauty I saw, has one more purpose and I will tell you in a few days 🙂
Pohoří Kačkar, kterému se říká Turecké Švýcarsko nebo také Turecké Alpy, to jsou divoké hory bez horských chat a dalších turistických vymožeností (občas i včetně cest 😃), dosahující téměř čtyřtisícové výšky. A také hory, kde je velice proměnlivé počasí a náročný terén.
Já se sem ale strašně těšil a musím říct, že naprosto oprávněně. Potkal jsem tu další úžasné lidi, ať už to byl Sinan s jeho kamarádem, kteří mě vzali poslední asi 3 km do vesnice Yukari Kavrun a se kterými jsem se pak úplnou náhodou potkal i předposlední den, tak i majitel penzionu v této vesničce a také majitel penzionu v Olgunlaru a jeho dva synové nebo íránský pár, se kterým se nejspíš ještě potkám v Íránu 🙂
I když to zpočátku nevypadalo a viditelnost byla prakticky nulová, k večeru prvního dne, když jsem se dostal nad 3 000 m, se oblačnost protrhala a mně se otevřel výhled na vrcholky vystupující z inverzního moře.
Zlatým hřebem pak bylo přenocování u nádherného jezera Deniz a výstup na nejvyšší horu Kačkar, při kterém padla taková mlha, že jsem se ztratil a strávil asi 45 minut hledáním cesty. Když už jsem si v jednu chvíli řekl, že to asi vzdám, v tom momentu jsem uviděl ve sněhu vyšlapanou cestu, nakonec se i roztrhala oblačnost a já zdárně došel až na vrchol 🙂
No a přechod tohoto pohoří měl kromě vší té nádhery ještě jeden účel, který se dozvíte za pár dnů 🙂

Jako věděl jsem, že jsou v Turecku hory, ale že takhle krásné a vysoké, to jsem netušil :) Fotky tradičně na jedničku s hvězdičkou, takže nominačka a zítra Tipák tě ode mě nemine ;)

Kaçkar Mountains are located in a wonderful region. In the province of Rize, Turkey. I went to university in this city and had the chance to see it many times. I will prepare a post for you about these mountains bro

V Turecku, hlavně na východě, je hor docela dost, ale není tam vůbec nic, jen spoustu stád ovcí, koz a krav. Ale jednou mám v plánu projít Kurdistán, jen určitě ne v červnu nebo červenci 😃 Kačkar jsem našel relativně náhodou, moc lidí sem nejezdí, taky kromě toho jezera, nejvyšší hory a stanovýho tábora jsem za 3 dny nikoho nepotkal 🙂
