On my journey, among other things, I love that freedom of decision, how and where I'll spend my time. So although I planned to hitchhike from Niš to Pirot, than to Stara Planina and Bulgaria, for change of plans just remained to turn my head when I was watching sunset.
Shined by sunset I saw a mountain, beautiful high rocky mountain higher than any around and I wanted to get there! It was Trem mountain, highest peak of Suva Planina mountains and I decided for 3 days passing of these mountains.
First day I came out from Niš, got to Niška Banja and from there started elevation and in lot of parts crazy route full of fallen trees and climbing on all four on the ground. But finally, I got to nice sleeping place with a view on that fascinating mountain.
Second day I refilled about 4 liters of water because next source was in mid of next day. On Trem I got about 17 and despite fact that I had 10 more kilometres to go, I decided to stay here, watch sunset and also sunrise tomorrow. I was accompanied by young guy from Pirot who gave me few tips about Stara Planina.
Sunset and sunrise were beautiful and after sunrise I got to go because 25 kilometres, 300 m up and 1 500 m down was awaiting me. Start was great because I didn't see the road and thanks to it I saw a herd of wild horses and watched them from 50 metres 🙂
Than a descent started, mostly through forest but when I wanted to refill water, the source was empty.. I had 2 dcl of water, next stream 15 kilometres, all the way led directly on the sun and it was really hot that day 😃 5 km before end, I was completely out of water and felt like in the desert 😃 When I finally found the stream, I drunk at least 2 liters of water 😃
Than another problem took place - 25 km to Pirot and I really didn't want to spend night somewhere between villages or to climb back in the hills. Fortunately the problem was solved after next 10 kilometres of walking when some Serbian soldier stopped me without asking and took me to Pirot 🙂
Come to Iran bro, You will have a great time 💜
I'm really looking forward to it, but it has its time, road is the goal 🙂
I'm happy you stopped to see the sunrise and sunset from that scenic place because I consider a real bliss when you get to see those moments of the day in real life rather than in pictures. Take care and keep hiking! 😁
@gabrielatravels Thank you 🙂 I really love these moments 🙂
Well done sir! Great respect for you! You should video tape your adventures, iam sure, it would be as successful as a a TV show, as Bear Grylls!
@giorgakis Thank you, but I don't have all the staff with me, so it's hard to make videos like Bear Grylls 😃
Wow!!! Beautiful nature
