Como el mes de agosto es mes de vacaciones para mí, aproveche de dar un paseo hacia una localidad cerca de Barquisimeto, se trata de Cabudare, porque allí vive mi tío así que aproveche de visitarlo unos días. A pesar de que Cabudare es muy cerca de Barquisimeto y he ido muchísimas veces, nunca me había detenido a explorar algunas cosas de esta pequeña ciudad.
Ahora bien, Cabudare es una pequeña ciudad ubicada en el estado Lara a muy pocos kilómetros de Barquisimeto, es la capital del municipio palavecino y es catalogada como una ciudad para dormir, es decir, que muchas personas viven allá, pero trabajan en Barquisimeto, lo que hace que en horas de la tarde noche se encuentre con mucho tráfico. Su ubicación es entre el parque nacional terepaima y el valle del turbio, debido a esta ubicación se hace que su actividad agrícola se centre en el cultivo de caña de azúcar, de hecho, se encuentra allí el Central Azucarero Rio Turbio. Sin embargo, ha crecido exponencialmente en términos urbanísticos, debido al alto índice poblacional que posee.
Ya que es considerada como una ciudad dormitorio, siento que nunca nos centramos a detallar las cosas lindas que tiene Cabudare, por ejemplo su casco central radica en una avenida principal que conecta la avenida ribereña con la intercomunal, donde podemos ver en primera mano su hermosa plaza Bolívar, la cual no puede faltar en ningún rincón de Venezuela, la cual debo resaltar se encuentra en excelentes condiciones y con una flora espectacular, la verdad es un buen sitio para sentarse y admirar el panorama, además de disfrutar de sus árboles que ofrecen sombra y hacen un clima mucho más fresco.
Otro sitio importante para esta localidad es La Ceiba de Cabudare; actualmente convertida en una plaza y trata de un árbol, cuyo tronco es bastante grueso y su corteza es cenicienta, también sus ramas son muy frondosas. ¿Pero qué tiene de particular este árbol? Cuenta la historia que allí, el 29 de agosto de 1813 bajo este árbol acamparon Simón Bolívar y el glorioso ejercito libertador, lo cual constituye que sea un sitio importante a nivel histórico, además de ser un sitio muy bonito a nivel turístico, también es ideal para pasar un rato de tertulias.
Otro lugar muy lindo y por lo que me pude dar cuenta poco visitado es el Ateneo de Cabudare, un agradable sitio donde podemos ir a deleitarnos con obras de artes, niños jugando ajedrez. No obstante, los jueves en la noche tienen un concierto abierto, donde por el módico precio de un dólar puedes ver agrupaciones locales, obras de teatro y show de comedia; la verdad es un espacio bastante interesante.

Since it is considered as a dormitory town, I feel that we never focus to detail the beautiful things that Cabudare has, for example its central hull lies in a main avenue that connects the riverside avenue with the intercommunal, where we can see first hand its beautiful Bolivar Square, which can not miss in any corner of Venezuela, which I must emphasize is in excellent condition and with a spectacular flora, the truth is a good place to sit and admire the view, besides enjoying its trees that offer shade and make a much cooler climate.
Another important site for this town is La Ceiba de Cabudare; currently converted into a square and it is a tree, whose trunk is quite thick and its bark is ashen, also its branches are very leafy. But what is so special about this tree? The story goes that on August 29, 1813, Simon Bolivar and the glorious liberating army camped under this tree, which makes it an important historical site, besides being a very nice place for tourism, it is also ideal for a while of social gatherings.
Another very nice place and as far as I could tell, not very visited is the Ateneo de Cabudare, a nice place where we can go to delight ourselves with works of art, children playing chess. However, on Thursday nights they have an open concert, where for the modest price of a dollar you can see local groups, plays and comedy shows; it is a very interesting place.
